Yeah, getting rid of a complete dumbass does wonders for team morale, on and off the court.Originally posted by barryn2000:

Just curious on why you'd want to avoid them. They still only have 3 maybe 4 scorers. There's no way they could score enough to beat UK or even come close. I think we'd win easily. Prob by 15 points at least. I'm not really even looking at it from a "UK fan" perspective, I just don't think it's realistic and was wondering what would specifically worry you about that game.Originally posted by kb22stang:
Shouldn't surprise you, Pitino does it every year up there. Mid conference season they look terrible, then all of the sudden they come to life and go on a run. They are not a F4 team, but they're a team I'd like to avoid if possible.

The ONLY thing that would worry people about that game is that their jerseys say Louisville. Put any other team's name on them and it's a massive mismatch (on paper at least) and one that would have UK a double-digit favorite in Vegas.Originally posted by Cats78:

Indeed. It sometimes works when it comes to human calculus. UL should win this game so no biggie in my mind. Besides look who's losing! Oops, well maybe. Tomorrow will be more of a real test for either.Originally posted by barryn2000:

If anything, that name on their jerseys should make you more comfortable. Remember, they're 1-7 against our current coach. One. And. Seven.Originally posted by sefus12:

Right there with you. We are just a terrible match-up for them and I wouldn't be worried at all if they are in our bracket (which I'm sure they will be). And this is coming from someone who lives in Louisville and would have to hear all about them beating UK if they did win (they won't if it happens). In all honesty I think they won't make it past the first weekend of the tourney. The way their team is built they are an upset waiting to happen.Originally posted by Cats78:

We beat them at their place, playing their game (officiated the way they wanted) and we still handled them. Our offense is running better since then, Towns is a handful now and they are minus a scorer and a good defender, no matter how much of a clown he was. No worries here. Maybe it's because I'm somewhat familiar with them, but if there is any team out there I am not worried about, it's Louisville.
No super worried, but would like to avoid them. They play tremendous defense, it's a rivalry game, we've already beaten them once this year. and with their defense if they make some shots then they could pose a threat to about anyone. I'm not saying we'd be the underdog, but it's simply a street fight every time we play them.Originally posted by Cats78:

Yep, as long as every year doesn't include 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2011. So every year really means every other year, on average.Originally posted by kb22stang:

I'm a Cubs fan. Being "due" because you haven't won in a long time means exactly jack ****.Originally posted by Mojocat:

But I agree, rather not face them - talk about being due.....

If there are two ACC teams as 1 seeds then UK will 100% get one of the two as its 4/5 seed.Originally posted by ukbob:
They could both be a 4 seed and UK would still win.
But Lunardi says that UNC was a 5 before today but could move up.
Not sure how the hell UL would be a 4 seed but probably is.
Snider made several 3s against UVA which is really why they won. Today he was a bricklayer which is really his game.Originally posted by runt#69:
Well, that should be a wrap for lil' brother. Might not even make it out of the first game in the NCAAT. The win over UVA was simple to understand - all hyped up to play a top contender for the national title, last game at home, they got amped, hit some shots and got lucky at the end, and I do mean REALLY lucky with that last shot.
Reality comes back to bite them in the *** very next game against a really soft UNC*** team.
Gonna' be fun watching them slowly twist in the wind until they play their NCAAT game, and the complete meltdown if they lose it !![]()
