I hate the cliche but it may be a fair question - Is this team tough enough?

They just seem to really struggle in games like last night against physical teams. That one really reminded me of the Minnesota game, and some of the Virginia games.

It's early December. I get it. Maybe this was just a bad match-up, or maybe the team just wasn't mentally where they needed to be, and that can be fixed. Maybe?

While they DID over achieve last year, they still faded. And what we saw last night was a flashback to the fade, for me anyway. I could be wrong!

Shots aren't going to fall every night. This team needs to figure out how to win/compete when they aren't going.

The body language just wasn't great last night. Again, these aren't measurable. It's an eye test, opinion only.

Plenty of time to get there, maybe gotta get it handed to them like last night a few times to get the required tenacity. We shall see.

Nope.

Its why Coach Mack was so frustrated with them last season.
Its why he praises Sutton so much.

And lets not forget, you still have some players from Padgett's team who like the less intense practices he ran. Thats just something you dont publicly state.

Hope this was a wake up call.
This team just plays too nonchalant.

If I’m not mistaken, only Enoch and McMahon have ever been apart of teams that have won a tournament game? And they were both at the end of the bench.

Basically an entire roster that hasn’t seen past the first weekend of March. That’s something that does worry me.

I'm less concerned about tournament experience at this point. ACC play is plenty rigorous. Mental toughness and the assurance from each other that effort and attitude will be self rewarding. I trust Mack knows what is needed. Players just have to trust they can overcome circumstance from within. Collectively.
