For those in the know, why in the hell are schools hiring these coaches and creating contracts that have huge buyouts for coaches who don’t perform up to standards?

Its really stupid when an employee doesn’t do the job you hire him for and when you terminate that person you still owe them $44M. Must be nice.

It was sarcasm on my part. However all of these contracts should have expectations included in them that can void out buyouts. Businesses, and make no mistake CFB is a business should always protect there investment and if the individual they hire fails at his job then he shouldnt be guaranteed jack ****.

Fire me I dont give a damn, I get paid either way will eventually cause your investment to vanish over time. Bottom line these buyout contracts are just stupid.
