I hope we win and become bowl eligible, but Lloyd Tubman is deserving of a pound of flesh from the Univ. of Ky. Not necessarily the football team, but the university. In that spirit I say I hope UK wins, but Tubman goes off for 3 or 4 sacks and several big tackles.

Yeah I don't want anyone to get hurt either, but seeing those people held responsible for their actions would be gratifying.
A grand jury did not indict Tubman, but a Title IX hearing used

Sorry Dude - Dudette, that dog won't fight!!! What did your eyes reveal as Tubman was escorted from that dorm by the "quote victim". What does "common sense" tell you about the" demeanor/body language" of the "victim" as she escorted Mr Tubman from the premises!!
Did the video reveal that said "victim" was under any type of duress as she escorted Mr. Tubman from the 2nd. floor of that dorm to the exit on the 1st floor?
I don't state that Mr Tubman didn't engage in sexual copulation with the purported victim! Perhaps she "had a headache", or was engaged in study & would have preferred to continue with her study! Perhaps her attitude toward engaging in a sexual exercise was less than her thoughts of the need to study but she wasn't so opposed to the idea of sex as to refuse to engage in the act of being a willing participant! The basis for that assumption was demonstrated by her demeanor following the encounter!
Another factor in this whole affair was, Mr Tubman didn't force himself into those premises! The victim had to admit him onto the premises, & again the video does not reveal, (or even offer a HINT), that the victim was in any manner, distressed by what ever took place in her dorm room!!!
Why the "victim" chose to later accuse Mr Tubman of "forced sex" ???????
I don't know, but I'll offer a possible answer. Perhaps the "victim" did not attain a pleasurable climax or did not even attain a climax??????

I'll handle this one with ONE word. "Women". Dealing with women is like a matador dealing with a bull. Sometimes you get the accolades after a victory. Sometimes you get gored, Mr Tubman got gored.

I for one am tired of the everlasting butthurt over Tubman's demise at UK. Maybe if nothing else he would have done well to choose different company. Ultimately, his situation would have been handled in the same manner at other schools, except the Kenneth Starr led Baylor Universities of the world. Complain about the disconnect between the criminal justice and student discipline systems if you must, but quit acting like UK is some sort of outlier. It isn't.

This is sort of my take. I don't think the decision makers in this were qualified. I think they were sincere.
Actually you are incorrect by saying it would have been handled the same at other schools. There is a lot that goes into how the situation is handled. What sport do you play, how important is that said sport to the school, how talented is the player in question, how much would losing this player hurt the team, how will it affect fan support and what is the moral compass of people in charge? It's sad but true that those are things that will effect and determine how a situation is handle and the outcome of the situation.
Prime example FSU and the Jamies Winston case. It didn't seem to matter what he did or what the accuser said. Losing a Winston would have hurt the team and their aspirations of a championship too much. How much would things have changed it he was the prize recruit of the basketball team. With us being favored to win the championship. I believe if that were the case he would have been given the benefit of the doubt from most of the school and the administration. Also I think the wouldn't have rushed a hearing and would have let the case run its course before taking action.
Now in my opinion I have no clue if Tubman in innocent or guilty. But I don't think he raped her. One I don't see any true rape victim escorting their rapist out especially so calmly. Two it was rumored that she was some what of a disgruntled ex. Three the size and muscle of Tubman had he forced it and she fought back there would be some kind of physical evidence. Lastly it says she pushed him off I find it hard to believe a little female pushing a very big and muscular defensive end around.
Personally I think the situation was handle poorly and the decision was rash and rushed. The university didn't want the bad pr for a football program that finally seemed to be picking up steam.
FSU, Baylor, U of L... all institutions operating in the 1950's where their priorities and moral standards are concerned. FSU is the outlier. Not UK.
