I know it’s just the nostalgia talking but the 90’s seemed like a simpler time.

90s was the best because we had the best video games, movies and Shows. Kentucky basketball was the best time.

Time sweetens the memory. I have an elderly family member that swears that race relations have deteriorated since their school days. Their segregated school days. She walked a half mile to school on days that her parents didn’t drive her, the school for blacks was 30 miles away. Most black students families didn’t have cars so they boarded with nearby families in exchange for work. This lady swears that it was a completely peaceful happy time with no complaints. I actively try to see everything objectively so I don’t develop this mindset.
I think race relations were wayyy better in the 90's. I think polls back that up and have fallen off a cliff the last 10 years.

We had two black kids in my graduating class in 99. One was the starting QB, the other the starting RB for the football team. They were also the starting PG and PF for our bball team 😂

The 70's of my youth were even greater. Really didn't care much about inflation as a teen either. Even when just starting to have money in my pocket.

Yeah no ****.

But I’d argue that the Boomers did not give a **** about anything but themselves and left the world a huge ****ing mess that we’re all dealing with today.
Boomer here and I agree. My generation also didn't seem to give 2 fvcks about the separation of church and state, traditional parenting or the rule of law in general.
