Did we lay an egg last night? You bet. Do I still love this team? Absolutely!

I have been a Cards fan going back to the 70's, and this has been the MOST fun season I have ever experienced, even surpassing our Orange and Sugar Bowl seasons.

We have been included in the Playoff talk ever since our FSU win, and even after we lost to Clemson we were STILL included in the conversation. Yes, last night hurt, but I will not let that deter me from enjoying this season, a season that should include a trip to the Orange Bowl, and a Heisman for Lamar.

Let that sink in for a minute. As disappointing as last night was, we are still in line to go to the Orange Bowl. That is quite the consolation prize. As well as getting to see a Louisville Cardinal win the Heisman Trophy for the first time in our history.

No, I will choose to remember what a magical season this has been. I remember where we came from. And the best news is that we have a young team, recruiting is getting better, and best of all...Lamar will be back next year! Enjoy the ride Card fans, it's only going to get better!

I fear WF will upset Clemson and put us in the ACC championship game where we might win (assuming we can bounce back and beat UofK) and finish the season with the ACC championship AND 2 losses. IF that happens, there will be no team from the ACC going to the top 4 after what happened last night. The ACC will get shut out of the top 4.

Clemson needs to beat WF, and win the ACC championship game and represent the conference in the playoffs. Our shot is officially gone.

I love this team and the exciting season they gave us all with their sweat, blood, and after last night, tears.

We have ONE regular season game left now and it's UofK. Believe me when I say smoking the Cats by 50+ would make me feel a whole lot better about last night's egg laying.

Go CARDS!!!

I love my Cards.
However today is bitc# and moan day.

The ENTIRE team deserves to be raked over the coals.
You lose standing on your feet, not in the fetal position.

Tomorrow i'll be back with the 10 wins is successful, Orange bowl berth is
what i predicted talk.

Today is throwing eggs at the team. They totally embarrassed themselves.

Really? Our fans are NOTORIOUS for taking losses personally, like the players did them wrong. That's pathetic. They didn't play well, that much is obvious, but I can assure you they feel worse than anyone on this board.

It's days like this that I am EMBARRASSED to be a Cards fan.

Everyone deals with losses differently. I hate losing, but I also know that I'm not actually playing so there is that. I mean it's just a game. Personally I am 100% over it. Went to bed shortly after half time last night and slept well since I had to get up at 4:45 to go to work this morning.

Capt, let's not be too hard on the fans. They did build Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, they did go to various bowl games 30-40,000 strong, they did sit through games in an old baseball stadium, they did endure Cooper and Krags, they have earned the right to *****!

No, they didn't. It just shows they really don't understand football as much as they think. We are in year 3 of Bobby football. These players are part of an average recruiting class higher than 30, but even with that, we have been in the Playoff talk all year.

Instead of bitching about the loss, be happy that we have a coach that had us in the conversation all season, and oh yeah, we are STILL more than likely headed to the Orange Bowl. Yeah, ***** away. *Sigh*

To be honest I don't care if the ACC is represented. Would love a Clemson loss. The Cards go to the Championship game, win and go to the Orange Bowl As the ACC champs.

From your post it seems that you're a bigger fan of the ACC than of Louisville. I personally would love to see Clemson lose to Wake and have our Cards play for the ACC title. That would be the biggest trophy we could take away from the season at this point.

This season can still be salvaged with an ACC title and a Orange Bowl win and a Heisman winner.

The loss isnt 24 hours old yet.
The COACH is paid 7 figures to have his team prepared and they werent!
The COACH made no adjustments, offensively or on defense. UH could
have scored 60 if they wanted,

UofL isnt SuCkS. They dont need a five year grace period. Its year 3 and theyre
currently the 3rd best team.

Had they lost when the players gave maximum effort and the Coaches made the
correct adjustments, then no one is embarrassed. That was a pathetic effort
last nite. Youre an ACC team you bring it every play-every game.

Opportunities to the playoffs will be few and far between. You take advantage in
the moment. The future isnt guaranteed.

I already stated that a 10, 11 win season is a successful season.
Orange bowl victory would/could make it the best season.

Wow, you've made this WAY to personal. We lost a football game. Let's try and keep this in perspective. Not to mention in all likelihood we will STILL be in Miami, and we will have our FIRST Heisman winner. Life is good, but feel free to ***** away.

Also, you couldn't be further from the truth about adjustments. We were five yards away from making the game 31-14 before Lamar fumbled on the 5 yard line. And when you play us, NO amount of points are enough, so to say they could have scored 60 but chose not to is just stupid.

The loss sucks but sometimes you just run into a buzzsaw and get your *** kicked. The way the O-line played I Don't know what adjustments you can make. The D played alright. Houston scored on two trick plays and two UoL turnovers.

Day 2, time to heal the wounds to our team. The coaching staff needs to find answers to what happen and focus the team on correcting what went wrong. Paramount protect Lamar!! No one has slept well the last 2 nights. Put it together and move forward.

Any fan base that dedicates themselves truly to their team always takes it personally when they lose with so much at stake. I haven't heard or read where anyone feels they intentionally lost. They simply were not prepared for whatever reason. Embarrassed to be a Card fan just strange. I personally hate losing at anything which you will find makes a person successful.
