Expedia says there are LOTS of one way tickets available for under $200/seat. Fly wife and kid. Shoot, even fly in Mom and MIL to help wife while you and the animals make the drive in 3 days tops.
UPDATE - you guys are awesome. I read some of the responses to my wife and we decided to change it up. The wife, baby and cat that doesn't do well in cars are going to fly out, which means no MIL too. So, it's my mom, myself, 2 cats and a dog making the drive. We are shipping the other car. Thank you for all the serious and smart *** responses...you saved my life.
She was more relieved than me. That's why I came here. Everyone was just going along with the plan and didn't speak up...I knew you guys would. I needed some sense smacked into me.I feel like we did some good work here. How'd you break the news to the MIL?
Make sure the Paddock knows the flight number so that none of us get stuck on that flight w your screaming progeny.
Plus, you don't want Willy within 200yrds of your kid anyways
Good for you, on the new job, and the new plan for the move. I have 4 kids, based on my experiences with them and the way you describe your baby, I think it may have worked out better than is reflected in some of the posts here. But flying is no doubt better......I am moving on from my position at the University of Oregon to take a position at Loyola University Maryland. Smaller school, but big step up in responsibility. It's a great move personally and professionally.
Knowing my MIL...very disappointed.Next question is, how disappointed is your FIL that he doesn't have a week to himself?
Knowing my MIL...very disappointed.
I wouldn't expect anything else. You're prolly not sure where this thread is going now that your dilemma has been solved.
So I'll ask. Your MIL hot?
The cat will be flying under the plane. They have a pretty good program (as good as you can get) for flying animals under the plane, so she won't have to worry about the cat. She will be checking everything and have a backpack with all of his stuff in it and will be using her ergo carrier to carry him in...he falls asleep instantly in it.Coming in late here. So your wife is flying solo with a 3 month old and a cat? That sounds a little worrisome for her sanity. I think the vet will give you some "sleepy meds" for the cat. They do frown upon Benedryl for children under age 6. Our little guy did great on flights at 4.5 and 5.5 months old. They really do sleep a lot. Tell your wife to google "traveling with an infant" and make sure to have extra of everything (especially diapers and milk/formula) in case of delays/missed flights. Tell her to definitely bring a stroller to help with carrying all the **** she will be carrying on (including the cat). Will the cat be flying in the cabin with her? How does this work with food, water, litter box, etc.? (We have 3 cats and a dog, btw.)
True dat. The ones on points to Antigua were clutch. Economy comfort to NYC.The key is to get 1st Class seats.

I usually use roofies to help my children out.
Its hard not to read MILF thereYou're prolly not sure where this thread is going now that your dilemma has been solved.

My wife is hot...MIL, not so muchIts hard not to read MILF there
Oh, Forget-me-nows?
My wife is hot...MIL, not so much
Man, it could be an ugly *** horse teeth hoe, but you attach the word MILF, and Im suddenly interested.hahaha yeah, that's them
LEK- I swear those MILF porn sites like MILF Hunter and MILF Seeker sites are absolutely the sole reason MILFs went up 1000% in attractiveness.
Purchase plane tickets. Pay the extra cash to have your stuff and vehicles shipped to Maryland.
Should have negotiated for those upgraded moving costs when signing on with your new employer. But since your negotiating skills are obviously lacking then you should pony up with personal funds.
If you can't afford the upgraded travel plan then you probably shouldn't be posting in the Paddock in the first place. So i can't help you. No one can.
UPDATE - we made it. Wife and little one had to stay the night in SF as their connection flight was cancelled, but they got out the next day. The drive out was relaxing and my mom and I both enjoyed it. Hit some weather in TN on Wednesday and made it to Baltimore just before the storm. I owe my 2nd born child to you all making me change it up...don't get any ideas Willy.
