Seeing that I was into, let’s say more “lively” music, I cringed whenever that song came on the radio. That’s all.

Ironically, for being nostalgic about players being satisfied with a scholarship, it is folks like us, so fanatical we visit message boards to talk about our team, that eventually caused so much money to flow into college football that the coaches and players are paid what they are. We have no one to blame but ourselves if we don’t like it.
I’m not as old as other on here, but I think the 90s were an awesome time to come of age. There is no longer a shared experience or sense of community. Everything is vitriol and snark and conspiracy and disinformation. Technology has largely ruined society in my opinion, even as none of us have refused its benefits. Once again, we’re all collectively to blame for the thing we’ve caused to flourish.
