But I hate Duke. With Mcdonald All-Americans on the team, I'm surprised Duke isn't undefeated like UK (another team I despise). As much as I hate to say this, go Spartans!

His hate fueled by envy must be greater than his hate fueled by rivalry. I can see it for a Michigan fan with respect to Duke. There is a lot to envy.

Duke = Basketball school. UM has a rich and storied athletics tradition. You simply can't compare Duke to UM. The Wolverines dynasties have developed in football, men's swimming and diving and ice hockey.

Work with Michigan alums and they sure have an inflated view of their athletic program.
Michigan has won one football national championship in 65+ years & one hoops national championship in 100+ years. So how are they an elite athletic school?

And if it is the football Championship I think youre referring to (1997 or 98 with Charles Woodson) wasn't that technically a split title year? I don't remember exactly but Im pretty sure someone else was undefeated that year too and of course this was before BCS. Not exactly the football power they pretend to be. Pretty uniforms though.

One more thing. Even if UM had beaten UNC in that title game it would have been taken away because of the cheaters on that team. And as far as football goes how about the A.S.U. game a few years ago and it doesn't stand for Arizona State.(see above pic). I do imagine UM has a pretty good women's " rasslin" team though. OFC
