Someone is getting thrown under the bus. Believe that....
as bad as this staff is at in game adjustments, they are worse at player development. this team has some talent that has never been developed. and you are seeing it on the fieldWho is going to replace him? If we get a new D-Coordinator, which I doubt, he will have the same sorry *** players that DJ has. We simply do not have quality players on either side of the ball on the line, plain and simple. Our secondary which was hyped as the strength of the team, look like garbage after the first 2 games. That play the first time FL had the ball in the 2nd half, where 2, not 1, but 2 receivers were WIDE OPEN, left me asking, "who in the hell is coaching these players."
Better do it before the NMSU game. At least we look better without him...for one game.Someone is getting thrown under the bus. Believe that....
Talent is not 100% the problem on defense. D line talent is bad, but we have very good talent with the LBs and secondary. We have several 4 stars in those areas. Its simply coaching.Who is going to replace him? If we get a new D-Coordinator, which I doubt, he will have the same sorry *** players that DJ has. LOL you new around here? have you ever heard of shannon dawson? No. The captain goes down with the ship and should do so without throwing any more of the crew overboard.
That's why I said "any more of the crew".LOL you new around here? have you ever heard of shannon dawson?
No. The captain goes down with the ship and should do so without throwing any more of the crew overboard.
Our defensive players take poor angles and the chase the ball instead of staying disciplined , resulting in over pursuit and losing containment . That's either coaching or undisciplined players not listening to instructions but that goes back to coaching as well . We need a new defensive coordinator , DJ is in over his head .

You are exactly right, it obvious we don't have the talent Florida has. Our recruits are better than what we have had in th e past, but if we are going to play in the SEC we have to have SEC players. Our offense wasn't any better than the defense, so are you going to call for the heads of the offense too.We are talented everywhere except on the lines on both sides of the ball. It's Eliot and Schlarmann.
Didn't the owner of the New York Knicks tell GM Isaiah Thomas if he wanted to fire the coach Thomas had to coach the bad team he constructed himself? Same deal here, except Stoops has to admit responsibility for the defense.Fired and replaced by who?

It kinda shows how ridiculous your thinking really is. It seems like that most of you don't accept the notion of maybe giving the coaches we have more time. Like I have said many times by firing coaches every 4-5 years you are in the same cycle we've been in the last fifty years and we are still in the same place in the standings.
It may take 10-12 years to build a program, by that time our coaches will be experience. We have nothing to lose by going that route. I know we will hear the "the stadium will be empty". But I think we have more fans that will support the coaches and players. Real fans
We are in a situation where this team needs all the support we can give. They don't need to hear the criticizing of our coaches, when they are doing as good of a job as 90% of their predecessors did.
Just look at how many coaches we have had in the last fifty years. They were all fired, or resigned under pressure.
That should tell you that it isn't the coaches. Kentucky is a very hard place to coach football because of the lack of tradition and other disadvantages.
Saban and Meyer won't come to Kentucky because they know they can't win here either unless they are given the necessary time it will take.
Keeping a bad coach around to long just sets the next coach up to have a tougher hill to climb. Good recruits won't want to sign with a school that has a coach on the hot seat. As far as ratings go we are already at the bottom compared to other schools and it will get worse. It's hard enough to establish a good program here and if stoops hangs around to long it's just going to make it even more difficult. We need 10-12 years but Southern Miss, Vandy, Louisville and so many more only need 3 not to suck this bad?
Keep a bad coach until he gets good one day?
In the mean time we get stomped but the recruits will keep coming anyway?
C'mon man...
Does it matter?Fired and replaced by who?
Vandy is only one that you can compare. Check their record. The other two don't play in SEC.We need 10-12 years but Southern Miss, Vandy, Louisville and so many more only need 3 not to suck this bad?

Other schools in the SEC have been trying to rebuild while stoops has been here as well. This team isn't improving or playing fundamentally sound football. Our starting qb had more interceptions then completions. The kid had only 10 passing yards. What have you seen that warrants giving stoops more time??Vandy is only one that you can compare. Check their record. The other two don't play in SEC.
So that doesn't hold water.
Yes, keep the coach till he gets established, like I said its better than recycling every four years and paying two HC salaries. He is also getting some good experience.
Getting stomped occasionally doesn't hurt recruiting all that much. Players come to UK for early playing time. Why has our recruiting improved the last few years? "Is it because we are not getting stomped occasionally"? Don't think so
