I say we are back to the USC jr situation

Things haven't changed. The noise of a stoops firing was loud before USC and the win quelled it. These games coming up mSU, and Vandy specifically I believe are no different. I feel like stoops could be fired Sunday or Monday with a home loss to Vandy or MSU. If he wins those two and doesn't reach 6 wins I think he gets the ax after the season

I seriously doubt he is fired during the season.

A loss to Vandy will be really bad. The groans will be very loud. A win over UGA, UT, or UL will be required to get to a bowl assuming we beat MSU and Mizzou.

The next three weeks would be very stressful for CMS if we had a legitimate AD.

If we lose Saturday, fire him on Monday. What's the point in keeping him at that point? Make Gran Interim HC and immediately start putting out feelers to different coaches. Cough Fleck cough.

yeah 6-6 and bowl win for 7-6...or else IMO.

Realistically ...This is when we usually loose one we shouldn't and then tank the rest of the season so I hope for the 7-6...but I expect 4-8 and a coaching change.

That was the difference with Brooks. Took care of business with the OOC and a couple 50-50 games then stole one each year we had no business winning then off to the music city bowl at 7-5...welcome to the UK HOF.

Stoops is another 5-7 from begging his bro for a letter of reference for an Oklahoma community college LB coach job. If he isn't we may have a new AD next season also.

Prior to the USC game, there was a particularly nasty and despicable rumor going around about Stoops. I think the rumor was started by despicable low-life people who wanted the team to tank the game, thereby paving the way for the team to tank the season.

If I had to guess, you're probably secretly hoping that UK will lose tomorrow. I hope we win tomorrow, not for Stoops sake, but for the program's sake, and especially for the sake of the players.

Nah I've made it pretty clear that I hope he succeeds but face it. 2-4 with losses to USM and Vandy at home well he's done in lex

If Vandy beats us tomorrow, Stoops has a big hole to climb out of. IMO, he would have to beat someone we aren't supposed to get another year.

My prediction is he survives to next year regardless and MB hopes and prays that Neal Brown lights it up at Troy two years in a row.

After listening to KSR today I'm about positive he gets another year regardless. Matt got upset discussing the buy out and how it would be hard to pay for it. Matt says the big boosters all like Stoops.

We have never left the South Carolina situation because of the Sou.Miss game,we are in must win mode.If we beat Vandy Stoops probably saves his job and we stay alive for a slim shot at a bowl for another 2 weeks

We talk about Stoops but if we lose to Vandy tomorrow, this team may fall apart and not win another game this year. But if they win, it just may be the confidence builder they need to beat Miss State and Mo.

Let's just throw out what has happen so far in the Stoops era and start over? 4 years from now what to say we are not where we are now? Let's ride this Stoop's era out for a little while longer.

Well if they beat Missouri and Miss. State, assuming they win today, then they make a bowl without needing wins over any of those three November games because Austin peay would be win number six.

He's not going to be fired in season. If they had lost to NMSU, that would of likely gotten him fired because the revolt would of been to great. A Vandy loss gets the noise louder again.

Yeah kind of. If they lose to Vandy they would need to beat one of those three however a win against Vandy, Miss. State, and Missouri would be 5 wins with Peay being six.

lol I don't get it

bpoe: If we lose to Vandy we have to upset UGA, UT or UL to go to bowl assuming we beat MSU and Mizzou.

Dakota: Well, if we beat MSU and Mizzou and get a win vs Vandy we wouldnt have to upset one of UGA, UT, or UL

bpoe: Isnt that the same thing?

Dakota: Kind of, If they lose to Vandy they would need to beat one of those three however a win against Vandy, Miss. State, and Missouri

bpoe: reference Nick Saban commercial, "I probably am right" you are saying the exact same thing as I am! But, you may be moving your hands differently when you say it....?

Anxious to see if our improvement continues today. If we can block out the negativity and play well and win I can see us with 6 /7 wins. Defense seems to be in the right spots now. Offense has to be better particularly QB. Hoping Drew gets back soon. Stephen shows signs but was rattled on the road last week. Maybe that atmosphere helped him and the team grow and improve their confidence at home today
