To say I hope LSU embarrasses the whorns on Saturday. Not only on the scoreboard but also on the field of play. I am not one that believes Texas needs to be strong and undefeated for OU to succeed. We get to where we want to go on our merits not Texas'. Screw to steers.

As long as OU beats Texas, I don't care what they do.
But it's obvious that so goes OU and Texas, so goes the Big12.

Pressure is on Ehlinger and his young OL to even move the ball on the ground. He will face some serious pressure and it will spark his taking off running...negating their passing game. Two healthy RBs would be scary as well, I am going 34-17 LSU. Screw the Shorthorns. Stuff that we’re back notion right up their tail pipe.

I'd actually not be unhappy if Texas wins. Better for OUr chances of the final four. But my guess is that Texas, who is down to one healthy running back, whose backup will be a receiver with ten days learning the receiver position, will get mauled against an LSU team that's always played good defense, but this year they appear to be doing the kinds of things that will make their offense more competent.

If they play even okay offense, they ought to destroy the Horns in Austin.

Now hold on 43; I'm counting on Frosty's shuckers to take revenge on their 'bedlam buddy' hawx over for their performances of the last few years. It would be nice to see them play wisky close although this may be the badger's year...

I hope TX wins because that would set up a huge RRR. Can you imagine both teams going into that game undefeated? It would be an epic matchup

Agree. It is much more to OU's credit to beat decent Texas teams. It's about recruiting as much as it is bragging rights...over OU's number one rival..

What if OU has 1 loss? Don't see a 1 loss Sooner team jump a 1 loss SEC team or 1 loss TOSU. Go Horns!

I hope they lose too, but just by a couple of touchdowns. I was thinking about this the other day, and realized that its just 19, 20 and 21 year old guys playing for the burnt orange.

I despise the Texas football program, but I wouldn't want their kids to just get the poop beat out of them every game.

With that said, there is one game that I hope TX gets hammered in every year. I do hope we win the RRR 63-7. All the rest can be close losses for the longhorns.

I'm sure you'd love to see Iowa lose. I hope every year that Nubby loses every game they play. My two favorite college football teams are OU and whoever plays Nubby.

I have to admit I have rooted for Texas, but only when they played Nubby. Yes, I hate Nubby more than Texas.

I hear you, but you should have rooted for an injury-riddled game that was stopped while tied in the the 4th quarter due to lightning strikes to both sidelines.;)

The only thing that got us into the playoffs last year was beating a decent Horns team in the CCG. Some of u r so myopic in your hate I think you’d take UT having a losing season vs us making the playoffs.

A Texas team that lost to Maryland, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia. My vision is fine.

Never, ever, root for Texas.

Respectfully disagree. Texas has been bad in the recent past while we lost a game and still made the playoffs. OU success is NOT linked to texass success. The same could be said for TCU but no one ever says "we need TCU to be undefeated". Texass can lose often and OU can run the table and we will be fine. Recruiting is fine when OU wins not when texass wins. I want to texass to lose every game and then the next one can step into that #2 spot in the Big XII.

Texas has gone 41-36 since 2013 so no question that program has been in a rut.
But in 3 of the past 6 years, OU has lost to Texas and the other three games were extremely close...this despite OU being the better team each time and having the two best quarterbacks (both are Texans)...by far....in OU history.
Since 2018, Texas has or is having top 10 recruiting classes (ranked 6th for 2020 after two 4th place rankings in 2018 and 2019) and last year's team beat OU in October and upset Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, finishing 10-4.
As an OU follower since Wilkinson's years, I know and appreciate what the OU-Texas rivalry means to both schools and to college football. Right now, I see Texas as being a sleeping giant. Today's game with LSU is crucial to Texas gaining traction in its return to glory. It's a home game and I regard its outcome as a toss-up right now.
No one dislikes Texas or its fan base as much as me. That does not keep me from regarding Texas and its great history with a lack of respect.
And as long as OU has the state of Texas as its main recruiting target area, its rivalry with Texas will always be important to Sooner fortunes. (Ten of OU's 17 commitments for 2020 are Texans , as it was the year before).

Story from 2000. I was moving from Fort Drum to Fort Sill over the Christmas break. I stayed in my kids dorm room at OU and we sat down to watch the Horns vs. Ducks Holiday Bowl game.

At kickoff, we were all saying the same thing, "gotta root for Texas because it makes the conference look good." At the second commercial break we all looked at each other and my second oldest son said, "Sorry, Dad" can't do it" and we all nodded in agreement as we were all thinking exactly the same thing.

Since that day, nearly 19 years ago, I have no reservations when I say that I will never root for the Longhorns EVER.

I disagree. Bama beating Georgia in the SEC Champ Game got us into the playoffs. Had Bama lost they would have taken our spot.
It would have been Clemson, Georgia, Bama and Notre Dame.
I think OU was very fortunate to get in last year considering how disgusting our defense was.
Just my opinion, not fact.
