There was an article once where someone ‘close’ to Stevens said that Duke and/or Carolina would be the only two jobs that could ever tempt to bring him back to the college game.

I read somewhere where Stevens was quoted as saying when he took the Celtics job "I will stay here as long as you want me...only job I would consider ever leaving for would be duke"

Ok. I've never seen that direct quote from him, but I have heard the one from somebody in his inner circle who implied the Duke and/or UNC jobs are the only two he'd ever consider leaving the NBA for and going back to college.

So serious question now IF Stevens wants the job and contacts duke after K is done does duke take him or keep it in family?

No disrespect to the family but you have to go with Stevens if he wants the job. I'm just wondering if they let K choose his successor will he consider anyone other than former players/assistants.
