Well, that’s uninteresting. There’s a reason the saying is “Put your money where your mouth is.”
For that to be a fair bet, Fitz, I would think the odds would have to be closer to 20-1, no?
I would take it at 50/1... I think the odds are a touch more than 5/1 but I think quite a bit less than 50. There are still decent teams below the top 7 this year.
I think Michigan and Illinois were both below 7 and have won it? Could be mistaken though. Illinois was back when it was an 11 team conference.
The difference in the bet is one bettor is getting ALL 7 teams with the best odds of winning. Even getting all the bottom 7 teams doesn’t move the odds much, because the play in teams have virtually no chance of winning the needed 4 games to win the Tourney. It leaves you will 3 longshot teams, currently Minnesota, Illinois and Rutgers. Teams capable of winning a game, but 3 upsets seem 50-1 unlikely.

So I looked. One team has done it (Michigan as an 8 seed). The Illinois one I was remembering was a runner-up. They are 2 of the 4 seeds >7 that have been a runner-up.
I think it would be more difficult this year because they have to beat at least 3 pretty good teams.
Well I will fake buy 50/1 from you in Monopoly money, 20 for 1000 (I would do it for real but obviously don’t know you and so not gonna settle up)... I think that number is quite a bit off and you’d be selling the tail a fair amount too cheaply.
I am out of work, my bets are on hold. Just am not buying that a bottom half team comes out on top this year. Could be wrong as the top teams are not dominate. I like Michigan the best, but for all this talk of the Big Ten being powerful, I find the top teams balanced, dangerous, but we might not have a seed above 2-3.
I was out enjoying a nice day in the country, when I return to you spamming the board. You realize no one cares but maybe you, I and maybe Fitzphile, correct? To everyone else, bringing up these old threads only reflects badly on you, imo.
And, for the record, I said to Fitzphile "find something where I was wrong about OUR team" Posts like this were not about our team.
But congrats about finding 4 whole threads, of the hundreds of which I was involved in all season, where you found a prediction that wasn't 100% accurate. Wonder how many posts of yours I would find that were inaccurate? You don't have to worry about that, though, since I wouldn't clutter up the board again with that nonsense...

I found four or five in five minutes. Then spent the day trying to fix a leaky pool, install new skimmers, busting arse. Tired and beaten, tomorrow is another day.
