I think this is it for Oweh.

6’8” and one of the most long and athletic dudes in the NBA of his time. Oh yeah, and he was an absolute glove defensively too. I swear, people on here can come up with some of the wildest stuff ever.
He also couldn’t shoot a lick and didn’t have any kinda of guard moves whatsoever. There is no comparison to OO at all.

One season then make the nba jump. He’s starting to hit threes and seems like a first rounder to me. I know I’m not a massive follower of the nba but he’s a beast. He will end up a fantastic pro.
Oh yeah lets get the NON UK fan who trolls this site opinion.... Said NO ONE EVER.

Pretty much everyone who's not a primary scorer.
I think SGA is a decent defender but Cason Wallace is definitely playing defense if not he's sitting by the coach.
You gotta be able to at least make a guy work for it in the NBA or they will iso on you every trip down.
Man, there is zero defense played in the NBA. The lack of effort is actually embarrassing.

Honestly I was thinking the same thing as OP. The guy is a stud.

Same here - He has played well enough (and continues to get better) this season that the NBA folks are ready to take a look.

I still hope we have him for another year but I am much less confident that we will than I was a month ago.

He's a 6'4 SG. Those aren't in high demand unless you're a 45% 3FG shooter.

So we go from Cal pushing kids out the door, to fans who hated Cal now trying to push kids out the door?

Let the thing marinate a bit before we return to the days of "he's going pro!" There's real NIL now to keep fringe kids like Oweh around, and Oweh's going to be making a lot of money if he's in Lexington next year.
I have no power to push anyone. I’m just stating my opinion. Cal pushed them out the door. Oweh has a brother who’s a pro, he’s the best player on this team yeah I think he’s gonna get a hard look. His deficiencies aren’t going to change. See you even said “if he’s in Lexington”. You think there’s a shot. I’m telling you that he’s getting better every game as the season winds down.

And yes a team can give him a second round guarantee. I hope he returns but postseason success for players seems to propel them to the nba.

Wrong. He is on ZERO draft projections. Stay in your lane . Which is a dirt road. Actually more like a small hiking path.

Just FYI:

Players in the NBA do, in fact, play defense. They also play hard.

The nonsense narrative we see on this board all the time is laughably false.

I don’t suppose it’s possible to maybe enjoy the tourney before starting all this?
I’m sure Oweh will declare…he needs that evaluation and feedback. But I’m also sure that if he comes back to college he comes back here

I think that’s a “in the heat of the moment” take.

No way he gets drafted. He has to fix the hitch in his shot and improve his ball handling.

Draft projections right now mean nothing. You’re fantastic at the personal shot thing but not so good at addressing reality. The reality? Oweh is the kind of player who will garner a second round guarantee. He’s our best player and we ve seen a lot of players people thought “wouldn’t make it, the game has changed blah blah blah”. Oweh has a top flight agent and he’s from a pro family. Oweh is that kind of player. He wants to be on the nba. Something no one mentions is the physical demands of the nba. My man Oweh goes and goes and goes. His ceiling for draft position is now. You just don’t like hearing it. His handles are as good as they’ll get and his shot is what it is. Maybe pope convinced him to stay. Maybe. But it’s a tough game to give millions to a transfer and pay Oweh what he’s going to be happy with.

I’m not saying he should go what I am saying is based on precedent he likely will. He’s finishing his uk career very strong

It is possible he attempts to make the jump, but he’s not going to be drafted. Bleacher Report doesn’t have him being drafted, and players at his position that are far better than him are going in mid-second round.
our boy Livingston wasn’t getting much love this time last year. A guy like Oweh will have to show out in some of the workouts and scrimmages.

I love Oweh. That said, it is very obvious a lot of the people on this board do not watch much NBA or know what to look for in evaluating pro potential. Oweh is mostly a slasher at this point, with a hitch in his jumper, subpar handling and vision and undersized for NBA 2G, which is the hardest position to get drafted high at unless you have an exceptional toolset because scoring wings are dime a dozen. Oweh needs to become an elite defender, improve his vision and overall playmaking to become a first rounder. The hitch will be hard to overcome

NBA doesnt draft players based on 2 great games. If Oweh carried us to a final four, then his stock will probably rise up to a 2nd round pick but Oweh isnt on 2nd round draft boards and 1 game isnt going to suddenly bump him up to it.

And the psychology of the OP, all these posts of we suck , we have no hope, then all our good players are leaving and we have no hope next year either is a dead giveaway of a troll.

He will go through the process and it will be up to his play in the NBA combines. Anyone that thinks he has no chance to be drafted is just fooling themselves.
I thinkhe has a great chance to be drafted, just not in first round.
