I want and need to apologize to last year's team..

Last year, soon after the Title game vs. UConn, I made a thread or posted in a thread or something that they "choked" vs. UConn..and it was wrong of me..and I'm sorry. I'm UK blue through and through and I have been since I can remember. My Dad has always been a huge UK fan as well..I still remember him storming pissed off more than I have ever seen him after the Laettner shot in '92 when I was five years old. A lot of UK fans here questioned me once why I didn't post during the Tournament run last year and only after we lost..and the honest to God truth to that is..I didn't want to jinx them in any way. I'm very superstitious and during and after the Wichita St. game, I knew UK had a real chance to make a big time run as I believe Wichita St. was the best team we had faced all season..yes, even better than Florida..record vs. Florida be damned. And then it was UL and I remember talking to my Dad and he said something like "Well, at least this team made the Sweet 16 and maybe even stopped Wichita St. from having an undefeated season, if nothing else." and I told him something back like.."No no no..we play Louisville next, Dad..LOUISVILLE..we can't lose that game."..and the stress just kept building and building..and during the Wichita St. game was when I decided to just lay low and not jinx them..that was how my thought process was. Pretty dumb, I guess..but I'm that superstitious. :/ And then, after they had beaten K-State, Wichita St., UL, Michigan, and Wisconsin..especially those last four..and all of them was won by UK in the last seconds except for the K-State win and all of them had me on the edge of my seat the entire forty minutes each..I really felt like UK would beat UConn by double digits after what UK had been through and because I think (And still do.) that Wichita St, Wisconsin, UL, and Michigan were all better teams than UConn..and when UK got beat..I was just like "UConn ? Really ? UConn ?! Again ?! And basically in the same fashion as in 2011 ?"..but this time..for sure..UK was the better team. I was just really disappointed. I just expected too much from 18-21 year olds and I said something pretty ****** about my team..my boys..and again, I'm sorry.

OP no worries. We've all said/wrote things we regret. Few have the sack to make a public mea culpa, though. You should do what I do...I rarely post after a loss. Usually wait a day or two so I don't say anything stupid. At least, that's how I recall it since it's been so long.

The best advice,that the veterans,or best posters on this site state all the time; is stay off the board after a tough loss.

I think this year will be one, that we'll have to go back and re-watch games too grasp how truly special this years team is.

I don't want any of us to be upset,if we suffer a fluke lost in the tournament this year. It has already been a run away success.

As long as we're getting things off our chests here, I was at the store the other day picking up bread and milk before the snowstorm hit and the place was kind of a zoo as you might imagine. So, there I was over in the snack aisle and I spotted some Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix hanging from one of those plastic strip things. Well at that point I thought "now I gotta have some dip". So I tossed the the dip mix into the cart, went back to the dairy section and picked up some sour cream and headed to the checkout (after swinging by the beer cooler to pick up a couple 24 oz bottles of Sam Adams which they always have for $1.71 each for some reason). So there I am unloading my stuff onto the checkout and I paid for everything and at this place you bag your own stuff, so I go ahead and do that and head to the car. As I'm putting the bags into the car I notice the Hidden Valley dip packet lodged there in the bottom of the cart, like not in a bag or anything. Immediately I think hey, I probably didn't pay for this. It was really nasty out and like I said the place was a zoo, so I just chucked it into the bag and drove off. Am I bad?
