Yea we're the ones bragging about getting blown the hell out.

Let me make a roll laughing face for that delusion!

Laughing smiley face rolls while laughing.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were technologically deficient. I apologize.

UK played pretty good defense and offense that first half, just wish they could put two halves together. It seems UK is their own worst enemy and just can't stand success.Especially in the second half.

The defense does look better. Our offense basically gave up 10 points. 7 on the Boom fumble, and a field goal off the Johnson interception. So essentially, our defense gave up 3 points.

Our offense on the other hand was awful as far as the passing game goes. Johnson HAS to improve.

Plenty to complain about later. Down Vanderbilt as much as we want, with 10 more points this year they would have had 4 wins coming in. Their d is for real and the Cats O line and running backs more than held their own. The Kentucky defense held Vandy to about the same as the NFL Ready Florida defense did.

Good win.
The concern about 'wanting to see Stoops stay' is irrelevant. There is little chance of a bowl bid, but the players are finally acting like they know something about the game and the effort they need to put in....and that could be a glimmer of hope for whoever the coach is next season.

I just don't see the point in looking for positivity in a situation that, in the long run, will hurt UK by retaining stoops over mediocrity.

The way you and some of your apologist are, we will never complete in a meaningful way. Just try and get to a .500 season and celebrate.

It's the worst mindset any fan can have for a program.
How will fans pointing out positives have anything to do with Stoops being retained. That's pretty poor logic. What you think, or what you write on a message board will have no impact on Stoop's future at UK. If you believe it will, you are living in a fantasy world.

If our AD believes (and he does have minions watching these boards) that our fanbase is happy with a .500 season and scraping by home wins against vandy, he will have no problem continuing his lazy streak and retaining the status quo.

Positive comments posted on message boards retain as much value as negative comments posted on message boards.

The defense did play well but it's important y'all factor in Vanderbilt's offense was ranked 116th of 128 FBS school's going in to the game. Saying we only gave up 6 to them is fool's gold. We did what we were supposed to and held them to par.

Well we didn't do what we were supposed to do in the Southern Miss game, which do you like better?

Ask Matt jones or mark Maggard or brooks Hansen or Matt at the shiver if AD's don't don't have people watching these boards. Trust me, they do. And it gives them a "snapshot" of the feel from our base.
First, no I don't trust negative people. Secondly, I don't trust anyone who proclaims "trust me". Thirdly, I don't trust people who say other people told them something factual and then proclaims "trust me".

Message boards = revenue...learn something new every day. Here I thought it was about the all might dollar and putting fans in the seats. To learn that my views on this message board carries that much weight with the AD makes me feel...:pimp: like a mf'n boss!

Who cares? We are at home in stoops 4th year against the worst team in the entire conference and barely get by. It's not something to see positive in. Realistically we suck, our staff sucks, and Louisville and Barnhart are laughing at you.

People, there's something really wrong with this entire picture.

Most importantly, which you didn't note, you suck. Like, you personally, as a human being. You just suck.

I'm as tired of his negativity as you are. However, I would ask why you are never here to defend the program after a loss?

Actually my outlook is the reason why I've been successful in life, and have several understudies (which I'm proud of) who worked through poverty to success themselves.

But hey, I appreciate your derivation and evaluation into my post account.

I love my fans.

No matter what these message boards say, MB is pretty much stuck with MS due to the premature contract extension . The only way he isn't back is if Miss St. and MIZZ both beat us and we get waxed by the other three.

Well it seems not everybody was happy with the win tonight so I asked your opinion, is that a problem?

Not at all, sorry, I misinterpreted your wording. It seemed like it was a bait question. Like I said in the game thread I'll take the win however the hell we can get it. A win is a win is a win. The defense seems to be playing more sound, though as I've said on here I'm not convinced it has imprpved by leaps and bounds as some on here think. Missouri has a very good offense. If we can significantly stop them (meaning not the Alabama moral victory) I'll buy in on them. The offense is what it is. We need Barker. Johnson is out there busting his *** and I respect the effort. He simply doesnt have the arm to be the guy we need him to be and criticism of his decision making on passes tonight is completely valid even though it apparently ruffled Stoops' feathers.

So, would you agree that at this stage of the season that an ugly win is better then no win? This is where I am at now.

Without a doubt. We cant afford to lose any of the winnable games we have thanks to the opener. I think we can beat State in two weeks IF the offense can get it together. State (#16) is 6 spots behind Alabama (#10) in total defense nationally currently

6 points is a good outing no matter how bad Vandy is. What were they supposed to do, hold Vandy to -14 points? There will be plenty of time to gripe about the defense throughout this season. Today isn't one of them.

Defense played a good game. QB play was putrid. But I am to the point where I want Stoops to remain the coach for the next decade just to piss off the people who are on here constantly complaining about him. Cannot have a single UK football thread without them hijacking it. Everyone is aware of your opinion. Time to move on.

I watch SJ dive for first downs and give up his thin body and I could never say that was putrid. His passing was bad. But, there was more to QB play than just that.

You are right, he did a pretty good job running the ball. So putrid might have been a bit over the top. He has a problem running parallel to the line of scrimmage instead of turning it up field but did get a few key first downs. But a huge aspect of QB play is throwing the ball. And in that game, he failed miserably in that aspect. Vandy should of had at least two more interceptions. And it's painful watching him underthrow just about every pass or throw it behind the receiver. If he can't complete some passes, every team will just load up to stop the run and we will be in major trouble.

He protected the ball better. He ran with more confidence for an SEC game. I suspect it was more of the game plan. But, he seemed a step quicker than he did against USC. I think that shows he is becoming confident in the run aspect. He clearly got gun shy and afraid of the INT in the second half. Vandy has a good defense. He got us a win. He seems about the team. I hope he gets better each week.
