I like how you think. How great would that have been?
But honestly, I think we accomplished that anyway. They just went 9-3 and the vast majority of fans will look at it as a disappointment. All they'll hear about for the next year is how they lost at home as a 4-touchdown favorite with probably the best player in college football who also happens to play the most important position.
This game would've been totally different had they not lost to Houston. They would've been playing for a chance at the national championship instead of having that chance gone. Big difference

Louisvilles entire season has been working towards having a chance to play for the national title, that was taken away from them last week.
