5-star DT stud who had offers literally everywhere but decides to stay home with Tom Herman. Now, his coach goes to UT where he, without a doubt, would have been a stud, too, and he's left in Houston. I know it goes on all the time and the players are just as guilty but, man, this kid (and others, of course) really took it in the shorts when the Big 12 didn't expand and basically made Herman a free agent.

Seems like this goes on all the time at the 'smaller' schools, though. Hot coach comes in, gets the local HS stars to commit and then bolts for the next job only a few years later. While the kids could transfer, not many of Oliver's stature would want to miss a full year. Instead, he stays at UH and the spotlight most likely rotates off the UH program (unless they make ANOTHER homerun hire). He'll be a star and most likely a damn good pro but Herman certainly crapped on him (and others) this weekend. To no one's surprise.

He doesn't like it. He says (jokingly) he is entering the draft.

Maybe it won't make any difference. He knew when he was being recruited that Herman was the overwhelming favorite for the Texas job if Strong shat the bed again, so maybe, he will stay and be happy.

He is a true frosh. No draft for him.
