Good Christian talk there.
When it offends you, you ask for decency...when it offends someone else, it's just bs PC.So Christians can't make a joke? I didn't see that in the Bible. Can you refer me to the Chapter and verse?
He's actually giving the senator a compliment. I mean, take a look at Pocahontas, and then compare that picture with faux Pocahontas.Good Christian talk there.

Shows your ignorance, and the ignorance of the majority of Americans. Redskins is a name that honors the tribal people, right? This is a joke and only a radical PC guy would find it the least bit offensive. We are not making fun of Pocahontas but rather paleface Warren.

I have to admit. I was under the impression Boom was simply joking about being offended, and was simply arguing with you to pass some down time at work. I'm shocked he's getting this upset over 'Lyin Pocahontas'. This might be a high water mark when it comes to being butt hurt PC.This is a joke and only a radical PC guy would find it the least bit offensive. If you're quoting the Washington Post poll, it's not accurate of true Native American communities.Actually that is untrue. The majority of American Indian support of the nickname for Washington. And your analogy is nowhere near close to what we are discussing about.

It's not my place to determine her heritage. She's spoken proudly of it, but I do not appreciate the concept of minority tokenism. I also think our congress can do a lot more to help Native American people and their heritage from being treated with disdain and neglect. Her included. Until then, at least have a minor amount of respect for their sacrifice. IMOIf you're this sensitive to this issue boom, you should not be upset with any of us. We are not the ones claiming to be American Indian. Someone is stealing their identity and it is Elizabeth Warren. And she has handsomely profited from that theft. She is the one you should be upset with.
She misappropriated a race to get into Harvard and get a job. It's not my place to determine her heritage. She's spoken proudly of it, but I do not appreciate the concept of minority tokenism. It's a point that hits close to home for me[/QUOTE
High cheekbone'd.
Not sure what reservation you call home, but up here in SW Michigan, outside of Bill Johnston and Ronda Stryker, the natives that own Firekeeper's Casino are some of the wealthiest individuals in the area. So much so, that when one of the local high schools was forced to change their name from the Redskins to the Red Hawks, the local tribe thought it was outlandish and provided the school with a half million so they could purchase new branding, including athletic uniforms, band uniforms, and signage. Perhaps Pocahontas should see if the state of Mass would allow her to start her own casino. Big money in that business sector.I also think our congress can do a lot more to help Native American people from being treated with neglect. Her included.
The owners of Firekeepers Casino (The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Nation) donated $500,000 to the Michigan Native American Heritage Fund that seeks to help rid teams of racist mascots. And Harvard for promoting minority tokenism. Hire the staff, if you're diverse....wonderful....if you're not.....look at yourself, if you feel confident your practices are fair, be proud of the staff you hired.Again, she has offered zero proof of her claim. She refuses to take a DNA test to prove your claim. She stole this identity. If you are mad at anyone, it should be her.
You mean like when I refer to this POS as "Miss Piggy"?Conservative men fear strong women. That's why they call them names and make fun of their appearance. Insecure twits like King Tweet. I so hope McCain punches the POS in the mouth.
Stop referring to our President's chief strategist as a POS...have some respectYou mean like when I refer to this POS as "Miss Piggy"?

Good one.....A dead ringer.Stop referring to our President's chief strategist as a POS...have some respect

Where's this long argument and attack on my logic....if she does have a Cherokee branch in her family tree? What if her family has always held this identity sacred due to the fact that the heritage of the Cherokee people had been endangered for generations now?Boom, you are so ideological your illogic defies description. You get really upset over Warren being referred to as Pocahontas. You stated close affinity, presumably with American Indians, for your attitude. Yet, you get angry at those calling Warren, Pocahontas. Pocahontas was a famous American Indian, right? This is no denigration of Pocahontas. It is denigration of Warren.
Yet, you are not mad at Warren, however. She lied. She used that lie to promote her career, over and over again. When called out on it she lied again claiming it was true but refusing to take a basic DNA test. There is zero proof of her claim.
It is Warren you should be upset with. She is usurping and using American Indians for her own selfish purposes to gain minority status. Yet, not a word from you.
Hmmmm.
I don't fear strong women. They turn me on in a major way. I actually can't stand the submissive house fraus. Point is....this has nothing to do with Warren for me. Pocahontas is a sensitive figure in history for Native tribes. Pocahontas was not her original name for one (the name Pocahontas means spoiled or naughty child). It is an example of the glorification of the "good Indian" for some, that was seen as heroic more for her assimilation to European ways rather than her actions. I understand our history's perspective sees Pocahontas as a figure of connection between Native American tribes and the American Nation that became.
Either way, the use of the term as derogatory towards Warren robs the figure of either perspective. If it wasn't for a Disney movie, I doubt the figure would remain in the scope of historical knowledge. It is a historical figure that helps us understand the complexities of the relationship between our present and our past. Maybe oversensitive in many people's opinion...fine, but for me it represents a failure for Americans to incorporate Native American culture in anything other than names of rivers and towns.
If Warren is lying, it is shameful. I have no problem with her being called out for the hypocrisy. Call her a liar, call her a fraud, call her a shameful excuse for a US Senator.
Hate the liberal....simplify the issue....continue to be ignorant....the Paxx effect. You may feel that Warren being labeled with the moniker Pocahontas is insulting to Pocahontas, I don't happen to share those feelings. Pocahontas is a historical figure and with Warren's claim of being an American Indian, a perfect way to illustrate her lie. Warren should be the subject of your anger. She is the one that has profited and benefited from that false claim
By the way, several tribes have come out and demanded that Warren produce evidence to support her claim. She has denied them each and every time.

Some of that folksy, middle America, non-elitist, non-condescending talk right there. Precious little thing you.Boom, I could lose 50 IQ points and still be brighter than you. You don't think with your head, you think with your heart. Your brain cells are not located in your heart.
I know I get upset. Pocahontas was pretty; Liz should be called Crazy Horse. You get really upset over Warren being referred to as Pocahontas.
