I haven’t watched baseball much in three or four years but if they fire it up soon I’ll be glued in and will buy whatever package they offer so I get every game

Quit watching baseball when they went on strike in the 90’s. My son got me interested again last year and we were planning on a trip to Atlanta in August to watch the Braves and Oakland. Oh well, I’ll probably lose interest again before this is over.

Back when I was in school this was the only sport we had.

Same here. The strike took place during my senior year of high school. Up until that point I'd been a Reds fan my whole life (the 1990 season's one of my favorite sports memories), but I've only just barely followed it since then.
The strike really, really made me mad but then they responded by selling out the game to the home run. Forget the steroids. They moved pretty much every fence in the league in 10 feet. There used to be a time when moving runners along and stealing a base mattered. When it was just Earl Weaver playing the sit back and wait for the 3 run homer strategy it wasn't so bad. When it became the entirety of the league it got old real quick. Brady Anderson hit 50 homers one year.
