LP at Sycamore...upset in makings?? Wishful thinking. If LP stays in this game for more than a qtr. I'd be surprised. SYCAMORE 42-7. SYCAMORE got bumped to 6a in the bracket projections and are a #1 seed in the north bracket. LP is a projected 14 seed in 5a south bracket. LP is also the biggest school in 5a.

Ottawa at Sandwich. Based on what I can compare from playing both, SANDWICH has the better rogram right now and they should be playing with a bit of confidence after last week's win over the "vandals" ...SANDWICH 28-14

Plano at Rochelle. This is a tough one..when we played both teams, they acted like they didn't want to be there. ROCHELLE at home gets the W 21-7.

Game of the week in the conference is Kaneland at Morris. Of course I'm going with my boys here but I'm curious to see how we handle a quality playoff team. Morris will make some noise in the 5a bracket and even more so in the 4a bracket. Our D is finally 100% healthy. We got a couple 1st year players on D and it's been good for them to get some games under their belt also. Much improved D from game 1. Our O is clicking on all cylinders, but this will be the toughest defense we faced since Sycamore. Should be a great night. Kaneland as of now is 6th seed in the north bracket with a first round scheduled game vs. Cary Grove. Tough draw but things could change. Morris is a 8 seed with a projected game vs. Joliet Catholic in first round. Yikes.KANELAND 38-28....

Freshman game I'm going to give Morris the advantage. This prediction is purely based on comparing scores of similar games. We only got 18/19 boys but they will hold there own on O. Not sure about the D. Very inconsistent…MORRIS 28-21

Seriously this will be a tough game for Morris. I’m basing this on the fact that Morris won as Freshman when their quarterback broke his leg in the first quarter and they still won. And as Sophomores that same quarterback didn’t play because he was up with the Varsity and they won. Tough game. I just really think Sycamore is a lot better than everyone else.

I like the Freshman prediction. A nice touch. In all honesty, if the Morris kids play to their potential, it will be a blowout. They are that talented. But they’ve shown the propensity to not do that. I think they know it’s a tough game so I’ll go 40-27 Morris.

Let’s try to meet at the game someplace. Would be great to meet parents of other kids from great programs!

Morris vsKaneland
This is no question the game of the week and I don’t know which way to call it , it seems to me that both teams have a very explosive offense I have not seen Morris in action yet. Just going off of the information in past results however I have seen Kaneland . And Kaneland is the real deal. I believe this game will be high scoring in the neighborhood of 30 something to 30 something and it’s all going to come down to whoever's defense can make a stop when needed.

On a sidenote about Kaneland I did like hearing rick ponx on wspy, talk about the Kaneland team after they defeated the reapers
He said in a nut shell. He walked over to there team huddle after the game and addressed there entire team telling them he has never seen a football team act with such class in a game that could of gotten out of hand . they
Played clean ,nothing dirty.played hard, no smack talk a class act team with a class act coach.

I believe on Friday the Ottawa Pirates are going to make a drive down to sandwich and they will face a very motivated sandwich Indian team it is our last home game of the year and senior night and the last time that some of these kids will play on this field. Our seniors have the respect of this team and every player will be fighting till the very end to ensure these seniors get a win on their final night

Sycamore too tough for Lp.. heard their qb is hurt, but idk if hell be back or not for this game. Cavs D will hold Sycamore to a respectable score, but little chance LP gets a win imo.

Here's what concerns me about Kaneland, they haven't played anyone since Sycamore (Sept 13) and the starters haven't played more than a half since then. I have to believe as Gags said that they are healthy and probably ready to go tonight . Morris is on the tail end of 3 straight street fights (Sycamore, LP and now Kaneland). I gotta believe they are a little beaten up. Because of that I'm going to go with the Knights this evening in a back and forth affair.

Two amazing games. Kaneland is light in numbers on the Freshman but very good offensively. Morris played their most complete game at the varsity level tonight. I’ve never seen my son so excited. He’s usually pretty stoic but he was elated tonight.

Doing fine ...Thanks for asking. Hurt his neck. Im sure it's a pulled muscle. Only good part about that was my other son got in. Our pass D was my concern and it got exposed tonight. Two great entertaining games though. I'm looking forward to many more games like that vs. Morris.

Meant to post this a week ago, but a comment on this. Zach has a ton of respect for Kaneland. He told me they didn’t talk, just played hard. We’ve played two teams this year that were awful. One is very very good, and the other made the playoffs for the first time in many years, you can figure it out. And I’ll will tell you the latter was worse in the Freshman game. My son had to be restrained three different times at the Freshman level. Best of luck this weekend, hope the weather holds up

We’ve played two teams this year that were awful. One is very very good, and the other made the playoffs for the first time in many years, you can figure it out. And I’ll will tell you the latter was worse in the Freshman game. My son had to be restrained three different times at the Freshman level. Best of luck this weekend, hope the weather holds up

My Freshman is a very good player. Scored 21 TDs this year and they went 9-0 with their best lineman starting on the varsity. He’s always been very respectful of his opponents, almost to a fault. His older brother sometimes rides him about being too nice. Against LP, he came unglued. They stomped on his arm, his leg, and said a very unflattering thing to his African American teammate.
