yeah, but jc was still moving the ball on the ground and doing it well then nothingIt was 14-0 before lightning.
It seemed like JCA didn't come back out. Even before the lightning, IC was figuring out the JCA O that it wasn't as productive. NFHS wasn't the greatest so parts are missing.yeah, but jc was still moving the ball on the ground and doing it well then nothing
Agree. Need to hear from someone that was there. It seemed like JCA didn't come back out. Even before the lightning, IC was figuring out the JCA O that it wasn't as productive. NFHS wasn't the greatest so parts are missing.
Stunning.
I’m not sure what to think.
But remember it is only one game. I seem to remember Naz getting beat 42-0 by Marist last year and they did pretty damn well making it to the title game.

Pain for 4aThat's more of a response for JCA. What does this win mean for IC?
Were you on the bleachers or somewhere else? How was your view? I only ask because JCA people seemed to think it was going to suck.I was there. I think IC might have taken a little time to get use to JCA's size and hitting and then just matched it and upped the ante. I'm a JCA fan and they could play IC ten times this year and lose every one of them. I think even if JCA had their star running back and a good passing game they still would have lost, but sadly they have neither. I salute the Knights.
Wasn't as exciting as the Larry game, especially given the lightning, but a good night. The Posse has been silenced, 4-4 vs jca for 600 yds, come on boys. 164 yards on 39 carries for the hill. Hard nosed football. Solid football team. Something has to be said for the ic D.

Gentleman response. I’m sure there is a lot of tape that a program like JCA can look at and adjust greatly. Maybe last week was a tease, but Illinois football is at its best when JCA plays wellI was there. Fair enough. That was my thinking too. Lots of football to play though. All it takes is an injury or two and everything changes. I am excited to watch thoughI’m not sure what it means for IC, but for me (my opinion) it says:
1 IC is way way way better than JCA
2. I am very very much looking forward to the IC/Rochester game thanksgiving weekend!

Doesn’t LWE have 100 kids on varsity roster? Anyone else close to LWE numbers?I don’t even like to mention the “I” word. Hopefully everyone stays healthy. There is not a team in IL that can withstand a rash of the “eyes”

I do not mean this the way it’ll come off but are they? I happen to agree but they have much to prove under this regime. Blip on the radar in my opinion. Losing Williams is a crushing blow, my heart hurts for that kid.Jca staff is very good, they will make adjustments and be back.
I don't feel like they adjusted much this game. I don't know if they aren't using a replay or if they adjusted and I missed it, but I felt like it was 48 minutes of the same stuff that wasn't working.I do not mean this the way it’ll come off but are they? Week 2? Everything worked week 1. I would think coaches would rather have a week of practice to intstal checks than doing it in game and expecting too much from their kids. They got pounded in their base and learned their backers need to grow up quick to adjust.I don't feel like they adjusted much this game. I sat with a bunch of JCA people in IC's stands at about the north 40 yard line. Were you on the bleachers or somewhere else? How was your view? I only ask because JCA people seemed to think it was going to suck.
I sat in the visitors' bleachers (2nd row from the top). I had no problem seeing most everything. The spot along the IC sidelines was a bit blocked by the players, but the vantage point was much better than what I was led to believe. I really liked the stadium. The field is very nice. It's a unique HS football experience. Were you on the bleachers or somewhere else? How was your view? I only ask because JCA people seemed to think it was going to suck.
Where is “Jchill-1” ???
Hello???
You got some splainin’ to do after a week of wild talking. Step to the front of the class and let’s hear it.
Lots of classy and knowledgeable JCA fans on this board who have been posting for many years. My intuition tells me they loaded up your inbox with wise instruction to chill. I think you owe us one post-game comment on the IC contest.
Wow!!! Ok, here is my take on what happened. First, congrats to IC Catholic. Great team and beat us from every aspect of the game for sure. Got my respect. All right, the JCA faithful will be mad, but here is my honest opinion. Turnovers- played big in the first quarter. Had the first two drives killed deep in IC territory. You put the ball in the end zone there, different ball game, maybe? Coaching- I’ve said this a couple weeks ago and got jumped on. Lol. This game showed my reasoning. After the first delay, JCA came out, no changes made to defense or offensive play calling. Half time, no adjustments made to defense at all. Offense tried to pass but the timing of calling for those passes made no sense. Same 4 running plays called all game. JCA went with a three receiver on same side set. IC covered two at line of scrimmage and put a linebacker 10 yards back to cover third. As soon as qb faked handoff, the linebacker would bite and crash the middle leaving the third receiver open for bubble screen. Where in the hell is our hudl replays on the sideline? Plan to see for sure. What did we do with the three receiver set? Ran the ball. Unbelievable. These coaches don’t put these kids in the position to win against good solid teams. Naz, ND, Marist are on to the same ol running plays. Unless this team can out muscle their opponents, they loose. This team isn’t from the 70’s, 80’s or 90’s, this team doesn’t have the depth or muscle to go against a team with strong depth. The qb running to the sideline to get the play kills me. The first drive of the game, we had their defensive front breathing heavy, but it takes us forever to run the next play. Ridiculous. This is coaching problem for sure. Never seen another team do that in the escc. Hurry up offense would help this offense. I can go on and on with my opinion but I’m going to enjoy college football, regroup and settle my frustrations with JCA football and be back on the horse tomorrow. LolI'm not saying throw everything out and start from 0, but you also don't show up expecting to run 3 or 5 plays. The whole point of the Hudl replay (or whatever else teams are using) though is to see what the O is running and adjust your D accordingly (and vice versa). No?
