St. Francis just went ahead in the 4th Q as I type this, but I have a question for anyone who has seen IC play all year: have they been this undisciplined (with penalties) all year?
Was at the game. SF and Todd Howards Defense came up big when they needed stops, and once again DiFusco comes up big in the 4th quarter putting together a drive for the go ahead touchdown. Before this game I had my questions about SF and if they were legit, but after watching them tonight. St Francis is a very good football team. Even in a game where Rittenhouse threw 3 picks and one for a score, the Spartans yet again found a way to win in the 4th qtr. Said it a few weeks ago, this is a team that can make a deep run in 4A
I'll take IC by 21 in the playoffs. The coaches will clean things up in the playoffs.
Francis had 5 turnovers and completed the comeback with their 3rd string QB. If both teams clean things up Francis wins by more.
That’s part of the game. So SF isn’t good because they took advantage of IC trying to give the game away?
I never said they weren't good. Point me towards a game where IC threw up as many penalties in the entire game as they did in this 4th quarter. I don't think you'll find one in a couple years. I think everyone's in agreement that it was sloppy. I don't think we agree on why it was that way.
I haven’t been around for a couple of years. What’s up with the Spartan’s field? Are they redoing the whole area to reduce flooding?

The Refs were aweful in this game as well...simply terrible.
Field kept flooding...unusable and unsafe. Not sure where it stands...will ask my son in the AM
Tons of penalties on both sides. Both sides played sloppy for good portions of the game...
They are replacing the turf, hope to have it done in spring.
Glad to see St Francis is back to winning football games. ICCP is a good football program and should make so noise in the playoffs. St. Francis' team and coach deserve a lot of credit for their season so far.
Great. What is really important is SF scored late and kept IC from scoring again with about 5 mins left in the 4th. I am not looking forward to a rematch in the playoffs but this is another huge step for SF football program.
SF turned over the ball 5 times. When people talk about sloppiness they mention penalties and turnovers. Both schools committed a ton of both and SF won. IC is a great team and a great program. This win is huge for SF football program.
