Wilmington (9-1) at Tri Valley (9-1) - Why Wilmington might not be the machine they were last year they are still a super good team. As long as they take care of the football they should move on somewhat comfortably. Wilmington 35-7

Peotone (8-2) at EPC (6-5) - I think this one will be a good one but I like the Blue Devils 22-14

Manteno (8-3) at Richmond Burton (10-0) - Manteno will have its hands full against a powerful rocket offense - Richmond Burton 35-14

Class 4A
Dixon (8-3) at Coal City (9-1) - Coal City controls the LOS and the ball game and come out with a 28-7 win.

I think Wilmington wins, but I don't see them holding Tri-Valley to only 7. I think this will be a good game.

Only scored 7 vs EPG and I think Defensively EPG and Wilmo are about on the same level.

Coal City 42, Dixon 7 - BNC hasn't impressed and CC is the best of tier 2 in 4A.

Richmond-Burton 49, Manteno 14 - Nice run so far, but R-B will overwhelm the Panthers.

Peotone 21, EPC 20 - I think this will be a one score game, although 'Tone has been on a roll. Seems like a pick 'em.

Wilmington 28, Tri-Valley 14 - I think it will be pretty close throughout and Wilmo pulls away late.

Peotone (8-2) at EPC (6-5) - Peotone takes the show on the road and Lanark hasn't fared well against physical teams. The Blue Devils play ground n pound and advance to the quarters setting up a rematch with Wilmo. Peotone 28 EPC 13

Manteno (8-3) at Richmond Burton (10-0) - Very nice win on the road last week for the Panthers, but Burton is a whole different animal. It's all Rockets early and often. RB 42 Manteno 7

Dixon (8-3) at Coal City (9-1) - It appears the Big Northern is down a notch and the Dukes are down another notch from where they expect to be. Big win at EP last week, but the Coalers are thinking Semis at the minimum. CC 41 Dixon 14.

Wilmington (9-1) at Tri Valley (9-1) - GOTW! This is becoming an annual playoff tradition in 2A! TV needs a huge effort on both sides of the ball if they're going to have a shot. The Cats win this one with defense and special teams. Wilmington 27 TV 17

2027 ICE team Sandwich with a HUGE win last week up at Du-Pec but they run out of "hope" this week at Hope. Sorry, couldn't resist

Peotone at EPC - any team from the NUIC is a very formidable opponent and a good matchup for the ICE. EPC lost some close games to good opponents. Peotone grounds and pounds but have a lengthy road trip ahead of them. Peotone 27 EPC 22

Manteno at Richmond Burton - the Panthers are riding high having won two playoff games by decisive margins. Richmond Burton is a power run team and that usually doesn't bode well for the Panthers. RB 56 Manteno 13

Dixon at Coal City - there is nothing glowing to say about Dixon other than their close game with Byron but losses to DuPec and Winnebago don't look great. Coal City seems to be a machine and as long as they aren't more focused on the game happening a few miles west, they should win handidly. CC 49 Dixon 13

Wilmington at Tri Valley - two high quality coaches and two HC who are masterminds on their respective sides of the ball. The Wildcats have had TVs number the past few meetings but TV has done very well this year. QB is a real run threat and the defense makes you earn every yard but strength of schedule is no where near Wilmington's. A few stops here and there and keep the momentum, they could find themselves pulling out the W. A close hard-fought game but Wilmington pulls away in the end. Wilmington 35 TV 23
