Once again the previous week thread completely derailed. Time to hit the reset button.

Not much this week as far as interesting games go. But hey maybe someone will pull of an upset:

Herscher (1-4) @ Wilmington (5-0): Herscher gets beat up on by Peotone last week and Wilmington gets by Lisle fairly easy on the road. Wilmington is roiling especially now that Shaw looks healthy. No surprises here Wilmington 56 Herscher 13

Streator (2-3) @ Peotone (4-1): The Bulldogs lost to the Coalers big and Peotone beat up on Herscher. Peotones defense has been lights out and it looks liek they have even tried passing the ball with success. Streator has been fairly competitive but it didn't show last week. Peotone big. Peotone 28 Streator 7

Lisle (3-2) @ RC (1-4): Lisle took a loss at home to Wilmo and RC was beat by Manteno last week. RC just doesnt have the horses to compete with the Panthers here. Lisle needs this win and one more to become playoff eligible. Lisle pretty easily. Lisle 34 RC 14

Manteno (2-3) @ Coal City (5-0): Manteno beat RC in a lopsided win and the Coalers pretty much dominated Streator. Manteno needs to find a way to either beat CC or Peotone next week to reach the post season. Coal City has been dominate in the Conference this year outscoring their ICE opponents 111-0. I think Manteno can make this a game if they can control the clock and keep the ball out of the Coalers hands. Problem being s the Coaler defense has been lights out. Coal City (5-0) 34 Manteno 0

Out of the flood...

Herscher @ Wilmington...Tigers seem stuck in the mud. Wildcats have been, well, running wild. This game is not going to be pretty...Cats huge...but I doubt Reents is going to leave the starters in long enough to be anywhere close to last years 63 points.

Streator @ Peotone...Devils are marching along...Bulldogs are sinking in the mud. Devils going to stab the Bulldogs steak dinners with the trident...

Lisle @ Reed Custer...I watched both teams play Manteno. Panthers mauled the Comets, while they had a catfight to the end with the Lions. Lions are way better...Comets get smacked outta the sky again.

Manteno @ Coal City...Did you see the power running Panthers stats from Saturday...296 yards rushing, 198 by Wurster...250 passing yards...RC fans got tired of hearing his name. But Coal City plays run defense...Somehow I see Wurster running for under 50 yards again like he did against Wilmo. And I believe the Coalers power run will steamroll the Panther D just like the Wildcats and Redskins did...The suddenly balanced Panther offense will make this the most entertaining game of the week, but CC is just gonna keep mining the endzone... Coalers 49-28...

1st down td pass called back man downfield. Couple runs, penalties, shotgun play, bizarre scramble ends w face mask & sideline penalty offset...int in endzone

Tigers 1st on missed tackle, then intentional grounding fake punt for 1st on 4 & 22 called back on procedure call....

Wildcats on penalty filled drive score,

28-7 Cats less than 2 left 1st half.

Tigers had 2 3 & out sandwiched. Around a Wildcat long interception on 1st down where receiver was all alone in ez but Hopwood could only get ball to 10...prior to the td w 5 min
