So what are some of the things one could do with their season ticket money? Let's assume for some bad seats and a parking pass you part with $2,500 a year. Let's also assume that, unlike Barnhart. you think you should be allowed to expect better than 103rd in the country. If you keep paying that money the best you can hope for is to climb back into the top 50 and get back on par with Toledo and Central Michigan. With that being the case, might you consider shifting those funds to some other endeavor (this also assume you are a microwave mentality loser)? What are some of the things we could do with $2,500?

Buy UL season tickets
Buy one basketball season ticket
Go to dinner and a concert 12 times (oh the irony)
Pay off mortgage early
Use towards second vacation (winter)

Any ideas? Seriously, why would anyone pay up after this year?

I sit in section 228 in the non k-fund section. I paid $280 per ticket. I park by the water tower for $75 per year. I'm in for $700. I looked at it like it was gambling money this year. I was hoping we could be good but I came up with two deuces on a jacks or better machine.

I'm using mine to go to away games and see other SEC stadiums.
Buy a big screen HDTV . Then support the team by adding to SEC ratings .
That way I can:

1)see the game better

2) not have to fight the traffic

3) not get in at 2 am after 7:30 pm games and be wasted all the next day

4) see all the replays I want.

5) go to the bathroom easier when I want.

6 )not have to be concerned about the game times until twelve days out

7) not have to freeze or swelter while the guy in the red hat unnecessarily stops the game for five minutes making the game four hours in length.

8) can flip channels and watch the best games in the nation when I would be driving to and from game

9) put less miles on my car . Thereby saving money helping the environment .

10)not have to involuntarily contribute to MB salary when I don't agree with the lack of accountability . I.e giving him a raise and extension after screw ups on Gillispie, Joker , Stoops hires and Stoops extension and raise
11) can also attend my grandkids baseball, soccer, horse riding events on the day of the game and still see the game.

12) not have to buy overpriced concessions. Full kitchen with better cheaper food at home.

13)not have to listen to overly loud rap music

Lou

Ps actually I already have a HDTV. With my savings I'll simply increase my contributions to scholarships on the academic side . UK won't lose a dime. But UK athletics will until they compete with UL in football .

I spent mine on a big golf trip to Wisconsin this summer, played Erin Hills, Whistling Straits, Blackwolf Run (both courses) etc. And thought it was a great deal.

However . . . . I am not totally out of the canoe, because if we ever get good again, I will buy season tickets back. But the product has to be a lot better than in the recent past to get me back in the fold. I am not paying $1500 per year to see essentially four or five good games, with a team that is never better than 6-6, if that.

Thinking about a guided fly fishing in Colorado or maybe a trip to Bali. Kind of extreme differences.

You are a lousy UK fan. Hope they win tonight and you find a better use for your money
You hope they win tonight!!!??? After 4 years of recruiting at high level, 180 million dollars in facilities 18 million on coaches, and you HOPE they win against a team that won 3 games last year and have a new coach this year? You are delusional! Wrong Sir! Wrong! I am a realistic UK fan who will not put another dime in Stoops pocket so he can continue to embarrass me! I live in South Carolina and wore my UK gear proudly on gameday of SMU......UK went out and laid an egg after all their BS talk about how much better this team was and how much they've grown up and blah blah blah! BS!!! I promptly packed up all my jerseys, hats, shorts, flags etc. and put them away! Haven't you had enough of being the bottom feeders of the SEC? Stoops has had 3 of the best recruiting classes in UK history....HISTORY! Neal Brown went to Troy 2 years ago and they beat SMU this year with much less talent than Stoops is working with! I frankly have my doubts that Stoops and Co. have even been present at practices! And this CRAP of Stoops taking over defense! Please! Go search Google and you'll find these same comments from last year! I will not spend another dime on UK football until changes are made, and if you were smart and knew anything about operations you would not either! You hope they win tonight!!!???Well you go on having hope then????I'll take my $2500 and buy lotto tickets and HOPE I get a winner!
