I have a friend on here (You 1A board folks have a friend on here) who has had a rough year health wise. He mentioned casually that he wanted to fly in a B-17. Evidently there is a guy in the Salisbury area that is flying that WW2 plane around for kicks. The cost is about $500 for this bucket list...and I hesitate to use that term. This guy is fighting cancer and has punched it in the mouth. Still....

Without calling him by name, I am donating $50 to the cause. I am half way to the finish line. The event (I just learned) is Saturday. I have had three nice contributions. I want to thank you kind hearted folks again that helped. We will make this happen. May the good Lord bless your efforts.

In case some of you haven't already guessed the person that some of you and Sleehrat are helping to make the dream of a lifetime come true is ME, Buddy Rich...I just casually throw this out there and Sleehrat took it from there. As some of you know I am fighting cancer and with all my medical bills and living on SS I told him there was no way I could affort the $500 for a flight. You people that have helped make this possible, God Bless you all. The people on preps are my extended family. Again thank you all for making an old man's dream come true.......

To all of you that helped make my dream come true today, thank you . I flew in a B-17. Anyone that wants to see photos can friend me on facebook and see them. Tasker Fleming and others made this happen. Thank you all. One of the great experiences of my life......

This is one of the better things posted on preps. Great job by all involved. However I do have one question for Buddyrich: with everything that has happened in your county in the last year or so, did y'all make a practice bomb run on the board of education offices?:)
