Look at POS Bannon standing there with that evil smirk. Donnie Bone Spur doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

There wasn't a hiring freeze over the last 14 months. Are we miscommunicating? Are you saying the federal government just had a 14 month hiring freeze?

I don't work for the federal government. One of our large divisions is in petroleum. The timing isn't a coincidence.

Yes, some agencies have been under a hiring freeze for a lot longer than 14 months.

At least we know what Trump is doing minute by minute. I find it refreshing that at long last we have transparency and openness in the White House.

Transparency? Really? Like the Press Secretary taking questions on Saturday? Like Trump himself providing details on the Executive Orders he has signed already? Like what are people supposed to do regarding their health insurance as it relates to the EO he just signed, that was very fuzzy?

Really? The TRUTH is now "treason?" Donnie hid from the Communist with a fake bone spur. That's how he got his nickname. What do you prefer? ***** Grabber?

Hey....I thought you were a "flag waver"? Regardless of how you feel...Trump is the "Commander in Chief" just like Obama was. You NEVER saw me disrespect President Obama regardless of how I felt about his policies.

I didn't check the article, but I'm guessing this doesn't include military or ICE/Border agents?

BTW - I also saw where Mnuchin wants to increase the IRS workforce. That needs to be done. They are woefully under staffed and cheaters are making away with billions of tax dollars.

I object to the term cheater. Getting some head is not cheating according Bill Clinton. It's their own damn fault they leave so many gaping holes and workarounds. For instance, I just got back from fishing in Costa Rica. Writing it off. Investment property for my real estate business and I brought along my accountant. Should it be written off? No. But ima goins to do it and see what happens.

Or they could make the tax code much simpler and then we probably wouldn't need more staff...or accountants period.

I'm not talking about loopholes or good tax planning. I'm talking out right cheating. Like Mexican gangs doing it cheating.

Because accountants only do taxes lol.

Everytime they "simplify" the tax code, it gets about 2,000 pages longer.

Cant we just deport of shoot the gangs...seems like cost of ammo would be cheaper than more accountants.

Can't find em. Hence more employees. Go listen to the Sec of Treas nominee FFS. Or we could just let massive fraud continue on the taxpayers dime.

Start with changing the 60,000 page tax code.

too bad Obama didn't take his own committee's advise and change the way taxes are collected and the rate. That would have been a real accomplishment. of course, that didn't go along with his narrative.

It wasn't a whine. Obama commissioned two men to recommend changing the entire way taxes were treated. Simpson was one of them and the other guy was democrat. I thought it was a good start. it could have been a legacy that would have lasted. That was something a lot of us could have supported.

Touche. Neither side really wanted to touch Simpson Bowles, and I really wish they would have or will do.

Absolutely. That's what I meant.

I'm getting old and I don't remember these guys names. If I remember correctly, bowles complemented Ryan for being so knowledgeable and the dems hit him pretty hard.

I think Ryan, in the end, hated it. Way too many taxes. It failed the GOP led House by like a 400-30 margin. I think Boehner and Ryan wanted more of a 3 - 1 (spending reduction to tax increase) and even then couldn't swing enough votes.
