Now's the time to use them and open up the offense. This would help to loosen the Vandy defense up a bit. There's really no reason not to pull out all of the stops at this point.

OP you are pissing in the wind at this point. Dawson can't figure out what he needs to do and we are so easy to defend it's scary. Wish we had gotten someone else.
I'd say plenty based on the people I know who usually travel. They all left for Nashville yesterday.
Rather than trick plays, how about some misdirection, throwback, middle screens, etc., i.e., plays we haven't tried 150 times this year? Doesn't have to be crazy to be effective, just unexpected. Wish we'd figure out a way to get the defense guessing rather than just straight handoffs, long passes outside the numbers and a few shorter passes on third and long.
If your program has to use trick plays to beat Vandy you're probably not where you want to be.
How about UK find what they are good at, design an offense around that aspect, then execute that offense?
Stoops will not let him do what he wants! He is one and done! He is a very talented coach who has stood next to Stoops ( A defensive coach) the entire year! Stoops is a micro manager! I am afraid unless he changes his he will not last long! And that is ashame because all of what he has done as far as fund raising and recruiting! But if you notice he is right beside Dawson the entire game! I would put Dawson upstairs but Stoops would override everything he would try to do! You have to let your OC RUN THE SHOW!
This. I've never been a fan of trick plays. Trick plays are either hot or cold. Either they work and you look brilliant or they don't and you look stupid. Rarely do you keep drives alive with them, it's all or nothing. Normally in the SEC it's nothing. If you want to be innovative then be innovative with normal plays the entire game rather than try to make up for a lack of innovation with a single trick play.
Trick plays are run against teams who are coached by people who can be tricked. That would be...us. This is embarrassing.
