I have no insight where Bolden will go. But in tht group, there's not a single pure center. Bolden is one. Uk has a lot of big forwards but Bolden would give them something they don't have.UK, Sacha-Killeya-Jones Wenyen Gabriel Adebayo Wiilis Humphries Wynyard. CMON Bolden....seriously.
Amiles heart weighs 150 pounds more than Boldens, I'm good with Amile if I have to choose. Plus, Amile will be just what the doctor ordered to show the incoming freshmen how things run around here.
Amile was our go-to defender against 7' NPoY Frank Kaminsky. He will start. He will end. He will be effective as our center.
Kinda silly to sit here and say if Amile had played more we'd lost. That's just sad man. Amile is a HUGE part of the reason we won that ship.
1. You don't whether Duke would have won or not. You think you do. There's a difference between thinking and knowing.
2. Marshall played 24mpg the first nine games of the season. That means Amile was playing about 14-16mpg at the five. He was doing quite well. To assume he can't absorb 10-12 more mpg and have Jeter as his backup doesn't seem that far-fetched.
3. Basically, what you're saying is Amile deserves no credit for when he plays well and that it's because the other teams bigs suck. That makes zero sense.
Amile was overmatched as a sophomore playing the five. By the beginning of next season that will have been three years ago.
You really know that? For sure?
And, you'd still say that if Bolden chose Duke?
Nothing like speculation in a pitch black room.
Do I know that for sure? LOL, Well, it was a reference to heart, not real weight as the human heart weighs like What 10 to 15 ounces? Would I say Amile had more heart than Bolden if he signs? Hell yes. And while the lights are out , kiss my *** in this pitch black room.
...which has also been relegated to second-class status for not measuring up.Dude you are out there like Pluto.
1) I know they would have lost. Sorry that pains you.
2) against what competition? Was it the ACC haul?
3) please show where I said Amile sucks. I'll be waiting. I've already said he's a good player, he's just not built for the 5 spot, a majority of the minutes, over a whole season. You certainly knock some for not reading entire threads; it appears you're guilty of that here.
Although I really want Bolden and I don't think Amile is a 25 minute per game 5, I'm more concerned with the PG spot. I'm really close to thinking thornton doesn't have the ability to ever be a championship caliber, team running PG (yes I get it this was his frosh year and he will improve). He just has so far to go from a "how to play the game" and form with his shot. He has the quicks, handle, and defense so that is giving me some hope. I knew his shot was going to be a work in progress moving forward, but I really thought he would be able to carve defenses and presses up and be a really good assist PG, and it hasn't even been close to the case. It will be really interesting to see the offensive identity of next year's team.
Also, with added athleticism and depth hopefully we play much better D.
1. Chaucer warned of this centuries ago. (6:58-7:05ish; 8:50-8:56ish)1. Never, ever kiss another man's *** (or let him kiss yours) in a pitch black room. Too much can go wrong, no matter what your preferences/inclinations are.
2. I get the matchups idea and the thought that Amile playing the 5 the whole game against Wisc would not have been preferable. But this is only an issue if Jeter makes virtually no improvement skill wise, composure wise, and strength wise. For those teams with true bigs, I think we should be more than ok with Tatum, Giles, Jeter, and Amile spelling all three. Big teams are going to have a very tough time guarding Tatum and Giles, especially with the outside shooting we should have. Matchups go both ways. I clearly remember Laetner's teams repeatedly beating Shack and Mourning.
1. Thinking and knowing are two different things.
2. No. But it wasn't against all scrub teams as you're suggesting.
3. Please show where I said you said that. You know exactly what I'm talking about.
And read your messages. You were an ******* last night....along with others. They all stopped after warned. You got worse. You're more defensive than a little kid when someone challenges your opinion.
1) purpose of a message board - to state things you believe you know in some cases (see this as example)
2) You could have stopped at No. That's all you needed to say.
3) You know exactly what you are insinuating. Amile is far from sucking, he's just not a true 5, built to handle the load of an ACC schedule as the main 5.
I read my messages, as well as everyone else I reply to. You've been an ******* plenty of times here, regardless of your "status". I didn't appreciate Show being his typical self, and it's pretty obvious I wasn't the only one he was targeting. I simply stopped when he kept hinting that he wants to potentially fight certain people at CTC; that is f'ing comical, and sad that a "grown ***" man wants to potentially target at CTC. Here, I will be at CTC, and one of my emails is [email protected]. Otherwise that crap shouldn't be on here, mods or no mods.
Lastly, I got so much worse that I was liking other people's posts, having a decent discussion, ignoring the instigator, and said things like "great season, on to next year...." Again, you just like to see what you want to see. Read the posts man, read the posts. LOL @ "defensive"; it is a SPORTS MESSAGE BOARD. You do not know me, and I don't know you. I do know, however, the people on the board that I read seriously, and the one's I laugh at and ignore. Let's just say I do not take you seriously. Is that a "bannable" offense?
I am done engaging you here; if you'd like to continue, please PM or shoot me an email. No reason to continue tying this thread up with stupid BS.
