Does Cal just do a 9 man rotation or does Willis get some spot minutes? Be interesting test to see if he can man up and handle Bama's physicality.

That's how it generally works. Cal is not going to play someone who cannot do well in practice against our studs.

I admit I don't know much about Alabama but I think it depends on the match ups with them. If Cal feels we are matching up well defensively I don't think we play more than 9. Hawkins doesn't play because we need a 10th guy. He plays because he does well when he gets and is a good defensive player. There's no reason to think Willis will play just because Hawkins doesn't play (If he can't go). 9 man rotation is plenty enough especially with the players we have.

I don't see him using Willis, defense is going to be too important in this one. Maybe if someone gets in foul trouble or the game is under control he might steal some minutes.

I hope he goes with willis and keep the platoon in tact. He can always take him out if needs to.

Me too. I hope he gives him a good chance. Platoons give us the advantage of wearing teams down while also giving them different looks on the offensive end.
