Didn't MTSU beat Vandy? They lost 73-14 to Middle Tenn,we could start Elam at qb and win this one......wait if any UK coaches are reading this I am only kidding.
No, but they did play them close.Didn't MTSU beat Vandy?
relax.......we beat Charlotte by 4 TDs easy
Sorta like the 69' Mets or Gardner Webb
That happens and Stoops needs to pack the bags.
Lets not forget Robert Morris.
All that is true, but I think UK takes out 6 weeks of frustration this week.Keep posting often the pic in your sig is the best on the board[thumb2]Kentucky has a bad coach and is a leaderless team. If you think Charlotte can't get up and compete for this, you might be disappointed. This UK football program could lose to anyone.
The difference is Robert Morris was actually a good team by mid-major school standards, whereas Charlotte is AWFUL even by little school standards. Just look at their schedule, 2-8 against absolute nobodies (only wins are against friggin Presbyterian and Ga St.), and took a 73-14 drubbing from little MTSU.
In short, this is about the single weakest team to appear on any major conference team's schedule this year. Can't imagine us having any trouble with this one.
Lets not forget Robert Morris.
Charlotte is not a good team but they only lost to Louisiana- Lafayette by 2 after leading in the fourth qtr. What would take place if that happened? I want to be positive that this is going to be a feel good game but damn this gets tougher.
IMHO, Robert Morris BB has no bearing on anything FB at any school.
Different sports, different recruiting, different development, different complexity due to number of players, specialties, & defined phases of the game, different impact resulting from presence of good/bad player, different impact resulting from quality of HC vs. assistants.
Not a criticism of our fans, but I think the long-term struggles of UK FB are due somewhat to our long-history of looking at CFB through a CBB lens (resulting in basketball-centric ADs for years, basketball on grass, no contact "bump" practices, pass-to-set up the run, divesting from the run, only offense is important--lack of attention to D or ST, failure to understand continuous FB infrastructure investment, etc.). The softer BB perspective is pervasive in our FB DNA--has been for years.
