All of them. I meant to go into more detail with the original post, but had to finish earlier than I thought and move on with my day.

5-4 teams didn’t make the playoffs in the 6-Class era. In fact, several teams at 6-3 didn’t make it in this version. The only 5-4 team is conference champ Highland Park. But, if there ever was a year with fewer than the usual number of teams at 6-3 or better, Providence would be one of the very best candidates at 5-4 because they always have a ton of playoff points.

Good point, should have been less specific. Any teams (like Providence) that stood out as being cut under the old 6 class system?

Forget the seeding.Do the old way.In 4A Rich Central vs Back of the Yards.Winner vs Mather vs Lindblom.So that Puts Rich Central in the quarters.Hillcrest vs St.Ignatius.Winner vs Payton vs Solorio.That puts Hillcrest in the quarters at Rich Central!!! Those schools HATE each other.2 old Sica foes and you think it was bad that Central has 6 pm starts with no sops before well this would take mucho security.Get the Blue H back out and the Blue Hawk on the other side of the helmets and bring back Blue Gorc!!!

Let's go back to the real of school where only 16 teams made the playoffs and the only way to be sure you got in was by winning your conference. A Wednesday playoff game???? Imagine the whining and conference jumping that would take place..... It will never happen because the ISHA likes the Benjamin s. All and all more kids get a playoff experience but some of the 1-32 games are embarrassing.

There was no Lincoln-Way East back then. Just Lincoln-Way. They didn't split officially until 2001-02.
