does that help our screen and short passing game? I've heard he doesn't have the strongest arm but if he can complete the shorter throws that Tommy struggles with it may not be as huge a drop off as some think. He doesn't run as well either I don't believe but it sounds like he can move some. I really haven't seen enough of him to have a great feel, at least with what Riley and Langs want to do.

He will run it better; he shouldn't play nervous long. he is a capable runner - we have seen capable runners excel against us; so why not return the favor. Freshmen do good jobs throughout the nation; he is our best of the rest - No reason to believe he can't outperform in areas of TA's weaknesses. He has been here for years; about time he gets a shot
nebraskas will have to play its worst game of the season by far to lose to purdue. purdue defense giving up 33 ppg. 210 yards rushing per game. they switched qb to a freshmen who has been 10 times worse. thrown more int than td while only averaging 138 yars passing a game.
I'm looking forward to seeing Ryker play and see if better command of the short passing game helps this offense. Or does inability of the QB to make plays with his feet hurt the offense more.
In a similar fashion, I find myself wishing that somehow Peyton Manning sits a game or two and see if a younger, more mobile QB can move the Broncos offense better. Or does his inexperience hurt more.

Purdue did a better job against the Wiscy running game than NU did. Not sure why many expect Fyfe to perform better than Armstrong? What have you seen in his limited game experience or practice reps that makes anyone think that?
