I don’t believe it’s the tournament outcome that should seal, or not, CC’s demise. And I do agree that the tournament is prone to surprises and that they don’t mean much as it’s single elimination - and it’s, oh, so beautiful.lol yes, some bad luck in a single-elimination tournament among other conference teams
lol yes, some bad luck in a single-elimination tournament among other conference teams will be the thing that seals Collins's fate. Give me a break.
If anything this hopefully motivates our guys into thinking "why not us?" and they play to their potential next year.
can't stand Baylor. The fans, (met a few) administration, previous coaches and players. Go badgers!I don’t believe it’s the tournament outcome that should seal, or not, CC’s demise. And I do agree that the tournament is prone to surprises and that they don’t mean much as it’s single elimination - and it’s, oh, so beautiful.
But will you be holding on to the single elimination thing when the B1G is like 3-10 on the tournament? I’m cheering for WI right now but we might see a record like that for the conference.
One game is a game. But 3-10, or whatever it ends up being is a bit more data than just a game
We were the SEC of college basketball this season.I'm afraid our conference wasn't as good this year as many of us thought, including me.
I agree with you on this one.can't stand Baylor. The fans, (met a few) administration, previous coaches and players. Go badgers!
No.Is there a single guy on our team who would start for Loyola? Who can dribble, cut, and pass as well as their lineup can?
We finally agree on somethingcan't stand Baylor. The fans, (met a few) administration, previous coaches and players. Go badgers!
We finally agree on something
Unfortunately I believe this is a terrible matchup for the Badgers. Baylor’s back court is not one that the Badgers are likely to slow down. They score and create so well. And without WI slowing them down considerably I don’t think they have the offensive firepower to keep up
3-10??? The Big Ten has already won 6 games in the tournament.B1G is like 3-10 on the tournament? I’m
It was anecdotal?3-10??? The Big Ten has already won 6 games in the tournament.
Loyola was outstanding today. They totally outplayed and out coached Illinois. 4 Seniors in the starting lineup had chemistry and anticipated each other’s moves. I wish them continued success. If the Cats stick together they can return to the tournament.
I'm not gonna overreact here. But the pressure will only be higher on CCC after the conference looks like it's getting exposed in the tournament.Several times I questioned on this board if the B1G was really that much or even simply better than last year.
The eye test was telling me it wasn’t. It was strong but not better than last year. But ultimately the lack of the normal amount of out of conference games made me skeptical of the stats for this year.
Here we are. Maybe a 6-4 edge over the ACC should have meant something. We did not exactly wipe the floor with them.
Yep, I'm off the Collins bandwagon if we can't deliver some really competitive basketball next year with a full roster of some pretty good players. Watching the creativity in Oregon's four big guard offense is an eye opener. Abilene Christian with the manic defense that comes in waves and then there is Loyola's game plan of working through their outstanding senior center. Gotta find a way to get talent to play together and establish an identity.
Oregon is just totally exposing Iowa right now, pretty wild to watch.
Could we design our offense to play through Nance the way Loyola uses Krutwig?
