They've already made one horrible hire and can't afford another questionable one. And no Brown doesn't. He will head back south at some point, likely SEC if he has the success expected.
I see him unfortunately leaving us if he has the success I believe he is capable of to go bigger, so does he go bigger sec or home to UK to win in the sec? Also did we really have Jimbo and lose him by pulling his money for assistants last second, and if so was that maybe our last chance at bringing in a big name coach, even a home grown one
Take if FWIW, but The Jimbo hiring (according to a VERY CLOSE friend of Jimbo I know) got ruined because Pastilong got cheap on the bonuses after agreeing to the offer sheet. He had already told his then wife at the time Candy, “We are going home!” I believe Sexton also leaked it to FSU and then came the whole HCIW at FSU.
Btw the same friend of Jimbo told me a month plus before it was announced or even leaked that A&M was a done deal. He also said the contract would shock everyone.
Btw that should also reveal the honesty of a lot of coaches who claim they didn’t expect to leave their previous job. These deals don’t come together in a day or two. The good ones work on them for a while beforehand when they know they’re leaving. That Jimmy Sexton is the college football director of coaching and he plays these schools like banjos.

Brown is not that kind of person to jump ship after one year. When all is said done and is winning 5 years from now then WVU better get the check book ready.
