That we would shoot only 37.5% from the field (29% from three) and BMac would only have one assist while the opposition would shoot over 45% (37% from 3), plus all the foul trouble, would you think we had won or lost? This team is different in that they just find a way

It's different because they have depth and multiple guys who can carry the team if someone has an off night. Brown has been a huge impact player off the bench in Big 10 play and he is a true freshman. I like what I see in Benson and he needs more minutes because we will need him against some of the Big 10 bigs. Law and Lindsey are dynamite and McIntosh has been clutch in the last couple of games down the stretch. I think Brown has developed very well as the secondary ball handler or backup PG. Maybe some posters maybe have figured that out. Anymore questions about the 13th scholarship? I think not! Great performance today!

Better athletes and better shooters makes for the difference, in my mind, which may be stating the obvious. We so often don't get a shot off until the end of the shot clock but tend to make a lot more of them this year. That's because we just have more talented offensive players than in the past. We are better defenders and rebounders (though I wish Pardon would block out more) and shot blockers than ever before due to our increased athleticism. We had great tactical coaching with Carmody, but now we have a great leader in Collins who has increased the talent - he excels in all aspects of coaching. While we are not quite as talented as other teams as yet, we play like a team, which allows us to overcome. Let's hope for continued addition of high-level talent - then, the sky is the limit!

The single greatest thing for this team is their defense. It keeps them in games when they aren't shooting well and when the shoot well it becomes a blow out. Rebounding is also a huge difference it helps keep the chances lowered for the opposition. Man I love the way the cats play D.

Throw back Wednesday:

1. No he has not
2. No he has not
3. Yes, there were quite a few when Lindsey and Tap were out.
