I did a little work because I like numbers and I think I was able to pin down the qualifiers, the seedings, the brackets by class and then make it readable. This takes into account all petitions to play up which have been approved as of this post....East St. Louis has petitioned to 7A but has not been approved as of yet. Success factors have been accounted for in this effort. This is partially because there were significant changes in enrollment thresholds by class last season. But primarily because of the new playoff format. All playoff points have been accounted for to include the secondary playoff points involving defeated opponents' wins. The enrollment numbers by class changed in the following manner from 24 to 25, thus creating a desire to better predict where we may land with this new system:

1A- no significant change in top threshold
2A- no significant change in bottom or top threshold
3A- no change in the bottom threshold, but there was a 9.963% upward change in the top threshold (p-value of .05= SIGNIFICANT)
4A- bottom threshold had a 7.414% upward change, and the top threshold had an 18.6% upward change
5A- bottom threshold saw a 19% upward change, top threshold saw an upward change of 9.748%
6A- bottom threshold saw a DOWNWARD change of 11.76%, top threshold saw no significant change
7A- bottom threshold saw an upward change of 10.35%, the top threshold saw an upward change of 8.117%
8A- this one is skewed by a couple upward petitions

BRACKET UPDATE: After getting some great feedback on today’s projected brackets, I went back and conducted a full geographic audit of every class. A handful of teams near the North/South dividing line needed to be repositioned. I’ve corrected those placements and reseeded the affected brackets. Thanks to everyone following along—and especially those who are checking my work. That’s exactly what makes this fun
