Eliminate Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Palestine, Uplift, Bowen, Whitney Young, and DuSable because they forfeited their season before it ended.

Eliminate North Greene, Galena, Cambridge-Ridgewood, Dupo, Flannigan-Somebody, Guerin, Schurz, Christopher-Something, Litchfield, Pittsfield, Sherrard, Stanford-Olympia, Harvard, Streamwood, and Proviso East using standard IHSA playoff points.

I see a few 80-0 games here. The worst game being Marist and East Aurora. Would be awful. Don't know why this makes sense to anyone. I guess Neuqua Valley if they get hot could win a few games.

No one is getting a consolation prize. That is not the reason for the proposed change. I presume you are against every other IHSA state series and feel that because everyone gets in those they are getting goody bags and consolation prizes?

Upon further reflection, I think this plan stinks. There needs to be a new rule for rounds 1 and 2, that if a team goes up by 4 TD'S in Q1, the game is over. Or maybe if you're down by 52 at any time, the game ends. Imho, the top rated teams (top 30 or so) should not be part of week one of the playoffs

I would love to do every class, but this was very difficult. I’m dealing with information on the IHSA website that now includes week 10 results, and scheduled week 11 games. Also, I can only find regular-season playoff points and “wins by defeated opponents” for the teams that qualified for the 256… I had to do the math myself for teams that were 4-5 or worse.

If Soucie has the excel/spreadsheet/google doc for all 533 teams after week 9 (and I suspect he might), that would help me greatly. Feel free to email it to me at [email protected]. Short of that, it would just be way too much work.

IF they are really going to let everyone in my guess is they have defined classes before the season begins.
