If this means anything two of the last three football National Champs had a loss at home.

Clemson was one of the last season. Clemson had several very close games including barely beating Troy State

I like your enthusiasm bull but unless this team and coaches pull their head out of their rear we will lose another game or 2. That and I just don't think we have the type of players to make that happen. Would love to be wrong tho.

I'm not gonna throw in the towel on the Texas game just yet.

But...if OU wins out and the playoff committee is comparing one-loss teams for the playoff. I don't think there is ANY doubt that OU will have the most embarrassing loss of any other one-loss team. Iowa Frikin State!!!!

Yes, but look at our defense. We had a bye week and absolutely played worse than the Baylor game. The rest of the Big 12 are licking their dentures waiting for us. We would be better off if Mike just collected his check and stayed away from the team.

One loss for us is a stretch. Look at the rest of the Big 12, we played the sure win easy teams so far.

Jenni Carlson regards this loss as OU's worst ever. I disagree, unless she means that it was the most unexpected loss, with OU being a 30-point favorite. But that would trump the 1975 loss to Kansas, the 2001 loss to OSU and the 2011 loss to Texas Tech (all of which were in Norman).
It's ONE of OU's worst losses for sure, but this team showed its true DNA (another overrated OU team) to me last week in salvaging an ugly win over Baylor. I felt that Iowa State would be a sure win, but not a 30-point win, after watching the Baylor game a second time during last week.
What I saw in the Texas-K-State and West Virginia-TCU games revealed 4 teams to me that can beat OU. And then there's OSU...in Stillwater.
The next two games are away from Norman: Texas and K-State.
These games will go a long way in determining which direction this team is going, once and for all.
The team that beat Ohio State has to be lurking somewhere in the rubble.....and if Riley is the coach we think he is and the coach we want him to be, he must use this defeat as a wake up call for the program he owns. But I said the same thing a week ago after the Baylor struggle.

That's a fact. If we play like we did Saturday, we'll lose to Texas and TCU for sure, and maybe lose bedlam in Stillwater. I hope this defense muscles up soon.
