it has to follow the Coach Prime blueprint that starts with Hall of Famers or All Pros on your coaching staff to attract the top talent in addition to NIL money. Look at our wrestling program and Coach Cal. The money and transfer rules no longer allow for the Paterno Way and Grand Experiment to survive let alone thrive at a Championship level as I once knew it.

I commend and root for Coach Franklin trying to uphold this tradition, but he is limited. The new NIL / Semi-pro model is here and naturally it will take a few more years but it will be unionized and then some predictability will be born thereof. Until then. I'll root for Franklin and whoever else is running Penn State Football till my end days.

So you have personally contacted those in your list and they are chomping at the bit to get into coaching?
Not every former PS and NFL retiree wants to coach.

IMO, if you want an NIL amount to be more than any other school, it’s so simple a retired sixth grade math teacher in ohiya can solve it.
Announce today that when the renovations to Beaver Stadium are completed, there will be a ceremony naming the field Joe Paterno field. The road remained 409 Way.
A small side announcement for NIL will be added and, again IMO, the money will flow.

@LionJim I believe you are an alum. Would you agree that a simple move by the powers-that-be on naming the field to honor Paterno would generate a lot of money?

These kids probably don't recognize any of the players mentioned. These kids today probably couldn't tell you what the capital of PA is while simultaneously telling you the name of every influencer on tik tok. Just saying.

Due to the relatively remote location of the campus, PSU needs help. You can't just rely on central PA for everything. The whole state needs to be all in on NIL
