Ole Miss has a very good chance of getting to the Sweet 16.......They match up well with Iowa State and have beat better teams already this year.......

I know we are not supposed to talk about fake plantation owners but it really makes our athletic department mediocrity seem really worse.
Iowa state lost its best player too. Beard is a really good coach. They are basically a 2 man team and those 2 guys aren’t even that special.

I predicted Ole Miss to beat UNC without reservation. And yes, they could easily get to the Sweet 16. Even though we beat them twice, I think they have the better team. The announcers said today that Baylor was a preseason top 10 team and faltered during the season. I didn't know that, but either that's true or we made them look like a top 10 team today.
2 years ago Ole Miss fired their coach and lost their best recruit to us. Now they finished ahead of us in the SEC, got a better seed, won their game and will probably go to a sweet sixteen. But people say Jans needs more time to build 
That makes me think of LSU's women's coach.
Baylor isn’t a top 20 team, much less top 10. They will get ripped a new one on Sunday.

Iowa State was very highly ranked earlier in the season till they lost a few.
Ole Miss can win (like we could have yesterday), but they're not favored to win.
And it really shouldn't bother you if they do. Making yourself miserable over Ole Miss success in a sport when we are also good in that sport is like stabbing your hand with a fork for no 17'n reason.

Our fans will freak out if OM wins but what is unfortunately true is they already have the most recent Sweet 16 trip between the two programs (2001) and even prior to yesterday had won tournament games multiple times since we last won a tournament game.
I didn't think they were either. Just what the announcers said. They apparently were ranked very high before the season began.....and he mentioned most thought they were one of the most athletically talented teams in America but failed to reach expectations during the regular season. Could they just now be finding their groove (I dunno).......but Duke will rip just about everybody a new one and would have against us too had we gotten past Baylor. I was just hoping we could have gotten Jans's first Dance win. The payment for that though would have been getting murdered by Duke 30-40 pts. ala Rick Ray style.
