It will still be there but it gets much trickier because fair market value considerations will need to be honored and will be closely examined. The paying players to come play for Kentucky thing won’t be able to work the same way. However, an endorsement deal with a car manufacturer would work but needs to be approved by governing body.
Damn !! Getting into some regulation and opportunities for skirting the rules (aka cheating), it seems to me.

If I'm Mitch, I take the total amount of scholarship players combined for football and basketball and use that number to divide the $18 million-ish that is going to go to both of those programs combined. 115 guys on scholarship equals $156,521 on average per player. So, Basketball gets $2.4 million and football gets $15.6 million. Then it is up to the coaches to decipher who gets what on each of their teams. It shows an equal priority to both programs per player.

Is this money spread out across the board to all FBS schools? Do MAC schools get the same allotments as SEC, B1G schools?
Best I can tell, yes they do. Also it appears that schools who don't have a football team also get the same limit.

I believe former athletes had to opt into the lawsuit. When it’s all said and done, the money these individuals get isn’t going to be much per person.

UK hasn't released its numbers yet. Most the SEC schools have already released the numbers. I believe Mitch is scared to release them.
I think the reality is most fans here want a larger % toward BB, it doesn’t have to be huge but we want to be top tier funded as long as it is more than the average for big schools, but yes funding football is a priority because it makes the money.

Sorry didn't make it clear that I was referring to the revenue sharing money. For the lump sum for former players, this was allocated differently for Power 4 schools than the rest. Best I remember, the NCAA will have to pay the majority.

Most SEC schools have not released how they will allocate revenue sharing across sports.

And there’s not much to gain from making a public announcement about the percentages.

No, it’s based on a percentage of certain revenue, most of which is media. Obviously Big 10 and SEC schools have more.
