If UVA loses in the ACCT esp. early could they fall to a 2 seed?

Possibly. Depends on even they lose early vs later. If ACC championship game is sunday and they lose, then probably still a one. But is WISC wins out, they might move up to a 1 now.

There are so many variables here.

Does Wisconsin win out? Does Villanova? Does Arizona? What does Duke do tonight and in the ACC Tourney?

So who knows.

Yes, if 3 of these 4 win out (Duke, Villanova, Wisconsin, Arizona), and if UVA's ACC-T loss isn't in the finals.

Duke gets a 1 if they win tonight. Simple as that. They don't need to win the ACC tourney for a 1 seed.

Wisconsin gets a 1 seed if they win out, regardless of Villanova winning out or Arizona winning out.

Virginia gets a 1 seed regardless. It would take a terrible decision from the committee to keep them from a 1 seed.

well, i thought Virginia wouldn't lose 1 seed...but now that they lost to louisville..i could see them losing 2 seed if they lose early in ACC tourney.

UVA needs to make the finals of the ACC to get the #1 seed now. win or lose they are good though imo if they make the final. Duke losing in acc tourney helps too. Duke or UVA gets a #1 but if both lose in the acc's....yikes

I doubt it but they could fall to the last 1 seed and play out west if things fell right , still too early to tell.



i change my mind sort of , there is a scenario that could push them to the top 2 seed . If Duke wins out , UV loses their first acct game while Wisconsin wins out and Arizona or Villanova wins out then it will possibly happen .

When you look at the losses in the top 6 teams, some losses were significantly worse than others.

UK - zero

Virginia - two - Duke and UofLol both ranked
Dook - three - NC State, Miami and Notre Dame the only ranked team
Villanova - Seton Hall & Georgetown both unranked
Wisconsin - three Rutgers Dook & Maryland both ranked
Arizona - three UNLV, Arizona State, Oregon State all unranked
