(2 very possible scenerios) We would head into week 10 with sole possession of 1st place in the SEC East... Unbelievable

With the exception of UF blasting Mizzoo, They've not looked exactly great since Del Rio went down
It would be cool. But i just want to win against mizzou. We lose that game and we are going to have a hard time finding our 6th win and all this momentum will feel like last year and the year before with a 5-7 finish

Right... We've climbed our way 75% out of the hole we found ourselves in after the low of the New Mexico State Game. We knew we needed to Beat USC, Vandy, MSU, and Mizzoo at that point. I like what I'm seeing out of our team. 1st time in Stoops tenure that we have overcome adversity to start piling up some wins instead of face planting when the going gets tough.

UK would have to win out and UF would have to lose two more SEC games for the Cats to go to Atlanta. UF holds the tiebreaker over UK. A tall order indeed. That would mean UK beating Georgia, UT and Missouri. UF would have to lose to both Georgia and LSU (that is possible).

That's true. Also we have 2 wins this season being down at the half. South carolina and miss st. Before the usc game we were 0-20 when trailing at the half under MS. I think eddie gran is really helping a ton as well as stoops tsking over play calling and simplifying the defense to let our talent really pin their ears back and get after it

No, UK would be in a three way tie with UF and UT. UF would hold the tie breaker over UK. UT holds the tie breaker over UF. Only way UK gets sole possession of first place is to beat UT, UGA, and hope Florida drops the LSU game as well.

Coaches shouldn't be motivating the team with trying to reach a bowl game. Post the standings where everybody can see them and use getting to Atlanta as the motivation.

Its nice to dream that Atlanta dream but this week I'm just worried about the game in Columbia Missouri next weekend. Not suggesting anyone else shouldn't care about the other SEC games but I'm not sweating the division, I just want to lock in a bowl.

True. But the OP's statement is also correct. If we win Saturday and Florida loses to UGA, we are in FIRST PLACE in the SEC East going into week 10 of the schedule. Good for a week anyway...

UK 4-2
FL 3-2
TN 3-2 (assuming they beat SC)

Considering UKs dreadful past in college football and the state of the current season, I think Queen said it best:
