If you had to do it all over again

Which country would you be from and why?

As you probably have guessed, I would choose Mexico. I've always felt a kindred spirit toward Mexicans and could very much get used to a daily siesta'.

Do you mean contemporary country? Or throughout time?

Contemporarily: Finland, New Zealand, Norway, or Scotland. It would be Sweden, but they're being skullf*cked willingly by mass immigration and political correctness movements.

Another country on my radar would be France. You get a whole month off work there. They call it Holiday.

Why do you need to do it over? If you aren't happy you were born in the U.S. and you'd rather be a Mexican... adios MF'er. Nothing stopping you from going anywhere.

Nothing in the rule book says you have to play the game, dipshit.

A lot of people are going to mention Sweden, Finland, Norway, etc. Ha, you southern bastards better learn a winter activity or you'll hang yourself before you see Spring. 6 hour days in the dead of Winter for most of these places and on the flipside, 5 hours of dark on summer nights. Let Oskaar fill you in:

Australia, I heard the ratio of women to men there in the 80's was like 7-1. A distant 2nd, Denmark, loved the little time I spent there.

I have only been to a small part of Canada so I have no experience in any other country besides the U.S.A. So any choice I made would be an educated guess. I have always wanted to go to Australia so I probably would pick there. That is just to try something different. I am pretty happy here though.

Now if I could pick a different time period I probably would stay in the U.S.A. in the future (like 50 years from now). We tend to be one of the best countries at putting out new technology and that is what I would want to be a part of. No telling what cool stuff will be available by then. Unfortunately, if I live 50 more years, I will be 92 and won't know how to change the channel on my holographic view screen.

If not here, then definitely Australia. Reasons: wide-open spaces and geographic diversity.

Ever been? It's pretty nice, even though it feels like your on the Asteroid from Armageddon at times. Flew in to Reykjavik a few times for layovers also, and during inclement weather you could swear you're stepping out on the moon lol. Nice people, good looking girls, and this glorious stuff:

Iceland:

Supermodels and geothermal spas are a winning combo.

I get the appeal, and I tried to get there when I was in the Air Force, but it's very expensive and chilly even in the summer. I went the first week in September a couple of years ago and ended up buying some winter gear. Benefits
  • The weirdest, most amazing, and cleanest public toilets. Seriously, after you get out of the tube like thing, it automatically closes the door and sprays the whole thing down.
  • A Big Lebowski bar that was pretty solid.
  • Blue Lagoon
  • Geysers
  • Every morning around 5 am there were crowds of 20 somethings stumbling home, eating from (very good) food trucks, and generally looking like they wanted to vomit. Seems fun.
  • Tall, gorgeous blonds in fur boots? Tall, gorgeous blonds in fur boots
Downsides:
  • Expensive
  • Cold
  • Little foliage and like 10 trees on the whole island
  • Whale tastes like garbage
  • Sulfur smell in lots of place
  • A (very, very, very slowly) widening crack running through where the American and European continents meet
  • Local cuisine lacking. Some delicacies include fermented (read: rotten) shark and a disgusting cottage cheese crap

My wife still eats Keifer with Musseli or something like that, a habit she picked up in a few days in Iceland. Skyr is really good, too.

Australia: Not yet. Bucket list.

Iceland: Yes, visited a couple times and returning again in a few years during the summer.

Immigration has made sweden a mess. No thank you to that country

I'm thrilled to have been born here, just wished it wasn't being lead off a cliff by
a bunch of corrupted idiots who only serve special interest and people who loath everything good about this country.

I think I'm going to try to live in Uruguay at some point in my life. It seems super chill, good weather, beautiful people, between Rio and Buenos Aires.
