I think it's going to be very interesting over the next few weeks to see how the Democrat party handles its rabid base on the Left while trying to reach out to more moderate factions in the party. It's a tricky balancing act because their passion and energy is on the kook fring Left, they can't win without those folks fired up and out for blood but there is no victory over Trump without swing voters.

They have to be aware of appearing too radical to a mostly center right electorate, and they must be wary of Trump's growing appeal to those swing voters as well as traditional Democrat voting blocks like African Americans and Hispanics who aren't as ideologically driven as they are economically. Both groups are doing well under Trump's economic policies, and the radical Left currently offers them nothing better. Without enthusiastic support from these traditional Democrat voters, the eventual nominee not only can't win, they're facing a landslide defeat.

It's going to be a high wire act for the Donkey. Keeping these disparate factions happy while trying to overcome Trump's nearly unanimous support in the Republican party's base is going to be the true battle Dems have to face first if they ever hope for a realistic chance to upset Orange Man bad.

there is no "Democrat" party...

it's gone...

it's splintered into a dozen factions...

TDS and socialism has destroyed it...

Just curious, have there been any polls regarding DJT support in the African American community after the bill reforming the mandatory sentences was passed? I think that bill will help cut costs, help many resume their lives and offer hope to some that have shown they are no longer a threat to society.
