Speaking only for the litany of former Roadrunner players who have reached out to me about this, and for myself, the guy can go frick himself. He tarnished his the team's accomplishments, and the Nazareth program that many helped build [and which he added nothing]. I sat in a company lunch Monday, and the story popped on the news at the restaurant bar, I was wearing a Nazareth t-shirt at the time and trying to explain that parent in an HR friendly way was interesting.
The great news is the step-son is a valued student-athlete and member of the Nazareth family. Imbued by what the school teaches, I know he's going to be a fine citizen and individual. If he'd like to go into tech after college, I'll hire him in 6 years...
Say what you will about Nazareth football fans, the students who live by what the school teaches are amazing people. I know what I get when meeting a committed Nazareth grad, and it's special.
