Missed the discussion, as it was buried in the "Other Results" thread.

Illini release was probably intentionally vague, like the Iowa Women's Basketball thread.

There are comments about this in the "Other Results" thread that gives some detail from Willie.

Sometimes I think about making a thread about the Brands but then I think I don’t feel like getting yelled at by pro-tnt keyboard warriors today 😉

Lots of high school talent in Illinois. Just keep them in state and you'd have a great program.
Definitely good high school wrestling. Not quite Pennsylvania and hasn’t had as many highly ranked pfp kids as of late but one of the better states. This could be there line up if everyone stayed in state. Illinois was only able to keep 3 out of these 11 guys in state.

In the 97 big ten title match. of course williams came back two weeks later and wins his 2nd ncaa title but I dont think he wrestled him again
To remind, Joe Williams and T.J. Williams were both distinguished Illinois high school wrestlers. Both attended Mount Carmel Catholic High School, Carmelites from Chicago.
